"One of these things ain't like the other"....Sooo, there's this cute lil $1 accessory shop I came to for some hair and nail shit cuz I'm cheap af but I know what's good, and I saw that they had some @jeffreestarcosmetics and got all excited because I have 2 lipsticks and I LOVE @jeffreestar , been to a few of his concerts here in Az; but anyways, I browsed the lipsticks, there were a few colors, but then I noticed something a lil fishy....the "Celebrity Skin" lipstick....wasnt "Celebrity Skin" color. I bought it. Came home. Compared the Celebrity Skin, to MY Celebrity Skin I bought online. The colors were SOOOOO WAY OFF. The "Celebrity Skin" lipstick is more of a magenta color. The bottle has a more narrow inner-tube. The lipstick brush was long. The clear part on top of the cap is smaller, and the label on the bottom just says "Celebrity Skin"....The "online" Celebrity Skin BY @jeffreestar is a nude shade. The inner-tube is a bit wide. The brush is small. The clear part on top of the cap is wider, and the label at the bottom says "Celebrity Skin", along with the bottle oz., and Jeffree Star trademark....... ***Moral of this Post***
Be careful of name brand makeup you see at local accessory stores. It may "seem legit" but think about it; maybe there are a few ingredients missing? It is really $4/$5?...These makeup artists create makeup with formula to insure long-lasting and to also be sure that they are safe for our use. If there's an ingredient missing, and we have a major allergic reaction...we're most likely gonna contact the makeup brand on the box and NOT the store.
The comparisons are SO uncanny!! I know makeup is makeup in the end, but thinking about the long term effects, this post may actually help. I gotchu @jeffreestar @jeffreestarcosmetics
