Proverbs 4:7

"I wouldn’t exactly describe myself as super extroverted... [but] a lot of my professors have helped me realize that’s not all that leadership is. They really inspired me and helped me with the process when I was struggling and had self-doubt of, 'Am I going to be a good CL?' They were so encouraging to me.
"I’m really confident in my leadership now, and I know that I lead from within a room, not the front of the room. My professors saw something in me I didn’t necessarily see. ... I really love how I feel like I’ve impacted my residents, and they’ve definitely impacted me too, seeing them grow."

Last week, Baylor seniors had the opportunity to take a trip back to Independence, TX -- where their and Baylor's journey began. #BaylorGrad

"Let your light so shine before men, that they might see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven." 🎓
Some advice for #BU18, from an archival audio of Dr. Dallas Willard, Baylor Class of '57.

Life has a funny way of repeating itself.
In 2014, Ana Vielledent's parents tearfully sent her off to college after Welcome Week. This past weekend, they tearfully sent her into the world after graduation.
Thank you to all of the #Baylor parents for supporting your Bears along the way. 🐻

Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful moms in the #BaylorFamily. We're thankful for all that you do!

Do not be afraid!

All that work has finally paid off. 🐻🎓
Congratulations #BU18! You’re officially a #BaylorGrad. 🎉

"Being a social work intern, I’ve had a lot of opportunities to help people who are in need... I really wanted to focus on the people that I could help the most, the people in society that everyone else shrugs off."
I’ve actually had a lot of experience with trying to be the light to somebody, and it rarely is some of the big things that I think, 'Oh, this will show them love' ... It’s just those very simple, small things that actually show them that I care. One of those things is just listening to their story. I’ve noticed [clients] try to share their story with everyone and anyone that will listen; I think it’s simply because they don’t feel like any one person hears or cares about their story, so that’s where I start with them. ‘Tell me a little bit about yourself. Tell me how you got here.’ Whatever that means to them. The stories that I hear are very interesting, but also most of the time it screams 'I want to be known, I want to be loved, I want to be accepted, just like everyone else.'"
