Hey Basecampers! Checking in with your #TrainerTipTuesday for pullover modifications. Pullovers are a great exercise to hit chest, lats, core and triceps! As you extend you object of resistance such as a barbell, towards the floor is when you feel a stretch through your lats and tris. When we bring the object of resistance back up we are using the chest, triceps and core!
You will find pullovers on chest and back days, arms and shoulder days, and full body strength days as they hit several muscles. It is a great exercise to go light on, especially if we have any injuries.
If your body becomes acclimated to the pull over, but going heavier isn’t an option yet a great modification to challenge yourself would be doing a pull up or an assisted pull up. You will target the same muscle groups as you would with a pull over. Any of our instructors would love to help you set up a band or let you know what round to hop on those pull up bars!
