Today’s #whyibasecamp if from @marci_banner so honored we get to be a part of her fitness journey! • I was first introduced to basecamp by my friend and I was instantly hooked and joined. I have always been athletic and worked out regularly, over the past several years, my workouts have gotten very mundane. I needed a charge; something different and basecamp was it. Basecamp offers workouts that are fun, difficult, and challenging. The individual trainers are all unique and have their own perspectives and teaching styles. I take the 6 am class M-F and I love the 6 am crowd. No matter how tired I may feel on the drive over everything changes the minute I walk in the door. When I walk in the staff at the front desk always greet me by name with a smile and my mood instantly changes. As I start stretching and people start coming you can feel the energy in the room changing and it is uplifting. I get excited to see everyone and most of them daily. I have made so many friends and hang out with many outside of Basecamp. What Basecamp does for me is offer a wide variety of classes, knowledgeable trainers who make the classes fun and challenge me. They also take the time to correct me if I am doing an exercise incorrectly and I love that. I always leave basecamp, motivated, invigorated and ready to start my day. It's become one of my happy places and I can't wait to go in the morning; even at 6 am. Lastly, what going to Basecamp does is complement my healthy lifestyle. I follow a vegan diet and workout religiously at Basecamp. It keeps me healthy, physically strong, energetic, happy and sets a precedence for my kiddos. My eldest daughter now workouts with me at 6 am and was there when I took my 500 class sweatshirt. My other daughter works out regularly at her gym and my son wants to join the gym at his college in the fall. Thank you Basecamp for being a part of my life.
