• As some of you may know, I am venturing into the world of self employment and need your support! I will be working at Artel Salon as of May 1, and with your help, I am hoping to make the transition a great one. If you are so inclined, leaving me a review on their Google page would be so, so helpful. I am hoping to grow my clientele there and allowing others to hear some of your experiences would help me tremendously. Thank you so, so much. I really wouldn't be here if it weren't for each and every one of you. 🖤 •

• Sometimes I wish I could tell my 15 year old self not to worry, and that when you're twice as old you're still going to be wearing bows with bats on them. •

• Vegas always calls my name. Here's a throwback to our first trip there, a year and a half or so ago. Taken with a disposable camera. •

• Oooooookay, so some of you that have known me for long enough know that I go on rants about things that really bother me. I have seen this floating around the internet for a while now, and I finally need to say something. This isn't true! Easter is based on the Germanic tradition of Ostara. It gets its name from the Teutonic goddess named Eostre. I'm not going to give you an entire history here; if you're interested, look it up. I think it's great to question what we believe to be true and that the understanding of our traditions is important, but please if we are going to educate ourselves, let's actually do it. Spreading some meme around is just as bad as sharing false news. If you aren't sure if something is true, doing research is a great way to figure it out. I know it seems like it's just a stupid meme, but we shouldn't shrug stuff like this off. I find our society has become so passive, so accepting of misinformation, that we are losing our ability to critically think. Unfortunately, a society that can't think for themselves are easily manipulated and taken advantage of. We have to be vigilant in our own understanding; we have to be active in our consumption - especially of information - in a time when we have the magnificent beast that is the internet at our fingertips. If we allow ourselves to believe anything thrown in front of us, then 1984 is coming faster than even Orwell could have anticipated. •
