Happy Friday to two of the toughest literary critics to roam a playground. Look at those assessing frowns!
Repost from @letlovegrow I love their little perplexed looks. 🤔 Fiona was talking about that frog and how our friend and helper, Maxy, didn't like frogs that were invading our house and compound in the last few weeks we lived in Uganda. Fiona said, "FROG?! Maxy! Bad!" 😂 🐸 .
This time home with only these two reminds me a bit of when Clayton came home and he and Bianca were both 1 year old. The biggest difference is that everything--including us--was so new. So, while I still can't really get anything--including a shower that I attempted 3 times today--done, there is something that I'm so grateful for. I'm grateful for all our time in Uganda fostering Ruby. While the new law of living in Uganda for 12 months was a bit of a shock to us, it was an absolute blessing and we continue to see such wonderful things from it even now. Almost everything around Ruby right now is new, but we aren't. I'm SO grateful to be her comforting constant during this transition. .
So, I may never get another load of laundry all the way completed, the closets purged, or a proper shower, but at least we snuggled, read all these books, and talked about froggies endlessly today. ❤
