Instant gratification, something kids LOVE. Offer a kid $20 now or $100 in a week and most can’t wait the week for the extra cash. As adults we know better and yet we don’t always do better. We choose the instant gratification over what will give us the long term, bigger gain. We choose sleep over our workout, 🛌
the junk food over the healthy food,🍰
or less sleep so we can stay out late,💃🏻🕺🏼
and while all of these things are ok occasionally if we’re always choosing them then were going for the instant gratification.
Sure it feels good to hit the snooze button, or does it? It feels good in the moment but if you spend the rest of the day beating yourself up about missing a workout was it worth it?
Sure the junk food tastes good in the moment. But if you spend the rest of the day beating yourself up about eating it or having self hate & negative self talk about your body was it worth it?
