Experiencing lower back pain has significantly shaped the way I train๐Ÿ˜ฃPreviously I only warmed up under the bar (which is still important to do) but now I place a large emphasis on engaging my glutes/core prior to my big lifts. This has been a game changer and I have been pain free for a few months now๐Ÿ™Œ

โŒ Foam roll all of the muscles in your legs and back for 5 minutes (Myofascial Release). Focus on rolling out any tender spots. .

โŒ Glute Bridges (Resistance Band) apart from activating the glutes, itโ€™s a great exercise to start with. Not only does it strengthen the mind-muscle connection to recorrect any anterior pelvic tilt, it also keeps a neutral spine and braced core. .

โŒ Lying Clamshells + Resistance Band. I added these in because my external hip rotation sucks and all the little muscles involved were weak in comparison to my adductors. .

โŒ Core/Transverse Abdominal (TVA) training is something I have only added in my routine the last 6 weeks and Iโ€™ve noticed a HUGE difference in my lower back pain and posture. Even the aesthetics of my โ€˜6-packโ€™ have changed๐Ÿ™. .
