Sabrina  20 | You gotta nourish to flourish 🌻 College Athlete πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ NYU πŸ€“

I realize not everyone can afford a gym membership or may not have access to a gym, but the good news is, you don't need one to workout! Especially with this circuit!! Whenever it's a nice day and I want to be outside, or just don't feel like going to the gym, we take the workout to the park thus creating this jungle gym workout! And the best part is anyone can do it! I'm a huge fan of circuit and body weight training so I decided to share this fun workout with you guys! 😊
JUNGLE GYM WORKOUT: πŸ’₯ Jump squats
πŸ’₯ Pull ups using the monkey bars (or if you're like me and can't do a pull up just hold your chin above the bar)
πŸ’₯ Plank (it's doesn't have to be on the table, I just had to do it for the gram)
πŸ’₯ Hang from monkey bar and do knee raises
πŸ’₯ Elevated back lunge (place leg on the slide, stand facing away from it, and lunge)
πŸ’₯ Bench dips
πŸ’₯ Bench push ups
πŸ’₯ Swing knee tuck (place both feet on the swing, get in the push up position and bring your knees toward you)
πŸ’₯ Lateral bench step ups
πŸ’₯ Burpees
Do each exercise for a minute and take 30 seconds in between each exercise! Repeat up to 3 times!

Do you guys ever have those mornings where you stomach literally feels like it's eating itself? Like do people who skip breakfast not get that? I'd be interested to know. I came back from my runπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ pretty hungry so I opened up the trusty refrigerator, and examined what we had to work with, thus creating this! We have an egg scramble (was supposed to be an omelette but I didn't have it in the wrist today, maybe another day), with onions, chicken, and spring mix πŸƒ then leftover sweet tater, and all the berries πŸ“, topped with granola and pb 😍 if you've never but peanut butter on your sweet potato you are seriously missing out! Hope you all have a great Monday!πŸ’ž

BEEP BEEP BEEP! That's the sound of me tooting my own horn because this is the best dinner I've had in awhile!!πŸŽ‰ I don't know if I just had low expectations, I was hungry (always), or why this was so good but it was! Like this was excellent. 10/10. Wonderful. Okay I think I hyped it up enough so now I'll tell you what it is! A had a bed of spring mix, roasted brussel sprouts, little trees 🌲, and some balsamic chicken, banza pasta, onions and tomato sauce. Best day to end a rest day of you ask me! Hope you all had a great Sunday!πŸ€—

Pancake Sunday coming at you!! While making these I didn't want to get out a spoon so I was just dumping ingredients into the bowl and next thing you know BAM πŸ’₯ baking powder all over my shorts, but wait not just any shorts, black shorts πŸ™ƒ which is jump proof that you can't win them all! I'll get em next time! I posted the recipe for these awhile back, but I'll post it again here because I really like you guysπŸ€— oh also I got this plating idea from @livelymeals because everything she makes is so aesthetically pleasing and it blows my mind! Hope you all have a great Sunday!πŸ’ž

Anybody want to hear a sad story with a happy ending? Alright I'm glad, because even if you didn't I was going to tell you anyways. One day, a girl had a plan to make the most delicious tacos ever (I'm referring to myself when I say a girl) she came home, open the cupboard and couldn't not find the beans. She searched high and low, left and right, and not a single bean was insight. She knew that in life you have to be flexible so she thought to herself "ah pasta that's what I'll make" nope. Not today kid. Because there was no sauce. She then looked and the fridge and remember she picked up this already prepared salmon from the motherland (Whole Foods) for a time when she was in desperate need (today) thus creating this 3rd choice dinner but still a good one nonetheless! She roasted up some sweet taters, broccoli, and some butternut squash that sadly didn't make the photo because she was too hungry πŸ™ƒ also after the photo she put some honey, cinnamon, and dipped the sweet potatoes in some peanut butter and it was magical. Hope you enjoyed this story have a wonderful night and we will resume this party tomorrow πŸŽ‰ also the photo is tilted and I'm LOSING MY MIND I have so many regretsπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Happy Saturday friends!! If you saw my story, you saw that I got to run through the streets of New York for my long run today!πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ it was actually a blast and I'm so glad I strayed from my normal routine to experience it! I planned on going 12 miles, but I got out there and was feeling good so then I went 13 and then I said well heck, I may as well go .1 further and make it a half marathon, so that's what I did! This aligns well with one of the messages I'm trying to spread to you guys which is, don't complicate things and listen to your body. For example, last weekend I planned on going 12 miles and I honestly got out there and was feeling so terrible and hating life I stopped at 10. Today I got out there and was feeling good so I went a bit further, it's all relative. Just like some days you eat a little more, some days a little less it's really simple, it's just us that complicates things. If you really listen to yourself and have your best interest at heart, I promise it'll all work out!πŸ™‚ hope everyone has a fabulous Saturday! πŸ’ž

Another stellar dinner in the books after a day that just whizzed by! I swear I blinked and it was over, I feel like I missed it, but it's okay I'll get another chance at it tomorrow! For dinner we have all of the roasted vegetables which include carrots πŸ₯•, brussels, and butternut squash (this was amazing I wish I made more), and then had some wild rice (it didn't seem that wild to me, but maybe because it's staying in on a Friday night. They should have called it calm rice) and some pan seared cod 🐟 to make the cod all you do it get a pan and put some coconut oil in it. Season your fish, I used this Trader Joe's mix of seasonings, and then place the fish in the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes each side. It doesn't get easier than that! Hope you all had a great dayπŸ€—

I most definitely should have checked the weather before my trot πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ this morning because I almost drowned! It's a good thing I know how to swim or else I would be able to share this bowl of dreams with you guys! Cashew yogurt mixed with protein powder, topped with raspberries, bloobs, strawberries πŸ“, bananas 🍌, raisins, goji berries, some nuts 🌰, granola, and peanut butter! I have a pretty busy day lined up but I prefer it that way! Hope you all have a great Friday!! πŸ€—

First night in my new place so in celebration I made all the favorites for dinner! Turmeric pan seared chicken, roasted carrots πŸ₯•, roasted broccoli 🌲, and of course sweet taters! I love this meal one, because it's so easy to make, it's well balanced, and it's really nutritious that's 3 wins!! Normally I'll just take one win so this is big! Hope you all had a great day πŸ€—

I'm pretty sure I've talked about this before, but I get asked at least once a day how many calories I eat, and for those of you wondering, I do not have the slightest clue. One, I've always considered myself to be more English driven as opposed to math. All throughout high school I had to have a math tutor (shouts to Dana if you're out there you're the real MVP) so why would I do it by choice?! Ridiculous, I basically had to pay somebody to help me through when it was required, so I'm not about to do it for enjoyment. And two, for me personally, there's no point in me counting. It doesn't align with any of the goals I have for myself because, I'm not working towards a certain number, trying to reach a certain leanness or anything of that matter. I'm not trying to lose weight, and I'm not necessarily trying to gain, but if I do then that's totally okay. (I'm not bashing anybody that does, just for me personally it's not necessary). My body is my vehicle to take me through life. To interact, help, and experience as many things as possible, so I want it to function in the best way possible. I have learned the signals that my body sends, like if my legs hurt, it probably means I need a little more fuel, or if I am craving certain foods I have them, I really don't try to complicate it and I try and eat mainly Whole Foods (with desserts of course because I love myself) eat intuitively, and have what sounds good. Be kind to yourself, treat your body well, and always remember you aren't going to change the world on an empty stomach!! πŸ’ž

I'm finally able to add some green to my feedπŸƒπŸŒ± and this was much needed! My body was craving vegetables so hard, so a big salad is exactly what I needed! In my bowl I have spring mix, kale, chicken, little trees 🌲, cauliflower, carrots, sliced almonds, and hummus! Hope you all had a fabulous day! πŸ’ž

Last night after the fam and I πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ finished dinner we of course wanted (needed) some dessert! We looked across the street and saw that there was a pressed juicery right there, what luck!! We basically ran there (gotta get those miles) only to find out that they were CLOSED! If that's not a way to rip out a girls heart I don't know what is. So I pulled out trusty google and found Chloe's soft serve fruit, and wow it was so good! The name speaks for itself but basically it's just fruit that is, you know, soft serve. I got banana 🍌 and dark chocolate 🍫 with shredded coconut, cacao nibs, and warm dark chocolate, the dream you guys!😍 so good and I'm pretty sure I'll start being a regular there! Hope you all have a wonderful WednesdayπŸ’ž
