Magpies by John Rae. This screenprint tells the story of a German baroness who lives on a remote part of north Wales. These are shown in the picture, and also her own face, with reflection, and her coronet.

Finger Portrait: Robert Tear CBE by Phil Surey. 'In the days before Robert’s death I took a mould of his index finger with the intention of carving it as a portrait of sorts. Though weak through failing health he still desired to make a good impression, unnecessarily pressing down into the mould resulting in an unintended flat surface to the finger pad. I came to see this as a moment of great poignancy from a man who had made a very great impression upon me and many others’. From a plaster cast the finger is directly carved into stone at approximately 1:10 scale, replicating the whorls, creases and form to create a unique and intimate portrait.
