Today started early with a car boot sale, it feels good to have cleared the loft of bits that have been in there for years. One of our first customers bought loads before I'd even finished emptying the car. That saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure" certainly rang true.
Trying to find some moments of calm. Building work has started on our side return extension, you can see day three in my Stories if you fancy. Progress is slower than I hoped, but I guess living in a terrace doesn't help as everything has to go through the house.
Dottie having one last turn at washing up in this sink. Life is about to get very interesting, we have builders starting next week on a side-return extension, which means we are saying goodbye to this kitchen. I can’t wait, but at the same time, I am dreading the dust, and the mess. As you might have noticed, I like things tidy! It will be worth it though….I hope!
Today I sat in the garden and ate my lunch, as I did the Robin Red Breast that has been hanging about in our pear tree appeared. I thought about going to get my camera to photograph it, but decided against it. Instead I just sat and watched it dancing around the ground, enjoying the moment. I've written a blog post, about just that and why I feel it's about time to be honest about 'slow living', the pressure it puts on us, and how my life really looks. Link in profile if you fancy a read.
The favourite for #aquietstyle_spring is now on the blog (link in profile). The theme for April is #aquietstyle_nourish (interpret how you wish), and the prize is this gorgeous herringbone azure throw from @baileylaineuk. I look forward to seeing your photos. And I'm already missing my wallpaper, not sure about the colour in my new work space 🙁).
It really has been one of those days. You also might have seen in my stories yesterday that we swapped round rooms so I currently have a pig sty instead of a work space, which means for now I'm afraid it's old pics I haven't shared before. Hopefully normality will be resumed very soon.
