Everybody out here trying to get a snatched waist but they're sleeping on the snatched chin game. Lol. ๐ŸŒšOne of my favorite things to do is look at model homes to create a clearer picture of what I want for my future. I'm far from being a homeowner but I love looking at homes, HGTV, interior design, Ikea, etc., anyway. A key to manifesting your desires is to realize that what you want is already yours-- but just in the futureโ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธLike, I already have the house of my dreams but the future version of me has it. But it's still me. Does that make sense!? It's the best way I can describe it in words. Manifesting isn't about saying "i want a million dollars" and expecting it to land in your lap. At some point in our lives, we experience minimizing ourselves, assimilating, changing to fit in or be accepted. I did it. And I STILL find myself doing it from time to time. if you're caught in it, don't be hard on yourself. We're human and changing yourself to fit in is a human thing (think survival in the stone ages--trives survive longer than individuals). I'm continuing to learn to be gentle with myself no matter what and to understand my motives in what I do before I jump to thoughts like "I shouldn't" or "why am I like this???" What ive been doing is first tell myself it's okay. I'm okay. I'm human. Then remind myself that all the beautiful gardens in the world are beautiful because of the many different flowers and plants. I would be soooooooo bored in a garden of only purple identical flowers. There is only one you. Celebrate you because there will never be another๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒท

I like being able to pick and customize so the express bowl option from @naturesjuice was a perfect fit ๐Ÿ˜‹ acai on the base (apparently just frozen acai, but I have my doubts since it was so sweer), with blueberries, hemp seeds, almonds, goji berries, and chia pudding. It was really good but it was a definitely on the sweet side for me. This was more like a dessert type of sweet rather than a smoothie bowl/meal type. so next time I'll have to get a regular acai bowl and do another acai review lol #AmandasAcaiAdventures

Working out isn't just going to the gym. Fitness isn't just how much you can squat or bench. Health isn't just diet and exercise. Humans aren't just skin bags of blood and bones. Life is not just black and white, so many factors go into literally everything you can imagine. When I try to look at the bigger picture of life and it's nuances, I am humbled and encouraged to have faith in the universe. I'd rather have faith than go crazy trying to control 7 million factors in my life that are probably going to work out anyway. Here's to the big picture, faith, and BCAAs for pulling me through 11 miles of mountain.

It's smoothie bowl season! I know you can make good smoothie bowls with fruit alone but when I eat smoothie bowls as meals I tend to get hungry again right after. Just add more fruit, right? I just need to eat more calories right? Trust me, I've been there and I thought I just needed 7 more bananas to actually make me full. But Amanda's particular Body likes to have a different balance of macros to be happy. Amanda's Body doesn't like to eat ginormous volumes of fruit and sweet right now. Protein is the most satisfying macronutrient and fat helps slow down digestion. it's no wonder I feel so much better with an even mix of macros even a couple hours later. And @blessedprotein is one of the few proteins that doesn't make me bloated/gassy afterward! Top with a healthy drizzle of almond butter, and you just turned a snaccc into an entree. That being said, what works for ME may not work for you and vice versa. It's important to know what Your Body is asking for and to honor that --

Saw a this as a first person variation from @caroviee (and then found out it was from Twitter) but I decided to change it to a way that it would speak to YOU. I know it's easier said than done, trust me I know. It takes time and practice and real commitment, but bottom line is- you can use the momentum of energy to either swing you up or pull you down. Some days I actually feel like being pulled down and that's the truth. But the beautiful thing is that we can look at life any which way we choose. WE choose that. No one else. โค๏ธโœŒ๐Ÿผ

Pincha mayurasana is one of the poses that I hold in my heart as a yoga "conquest." Stands and balances are something I know I need more practice with. I know I will get to where I want to be if I keep practicing, so I don't rush myself or get mad at myself or feel defeated when I don't "master" a pose when I want to. I've been taking the time to be friends WITH my body rather than trying to CONTROL it. Friends are patient, friends encourage, and friends persist. Most of all, playing with friends should be fun and enjoyable. That being said, I can finally hold a forearm stand for more than five breaths. What most of my meals look like: colorful, messy, but full of nutrients that my body needs. Lettuce and spinach for vitamins a + K, fiber, iron; avocado and tahini for healthy fats to keep my skin and organs healthy and glowing; an array of cooked veggies for vitamin C, antioxidants, and more vitamins; turmeric for antioxidant antiinflammatory properties; nuts and seeds for protein, more healthy fat, more minerals like magnesium and copper, fiber, and crunch; dried cranberries for more vitamin C and fiber and an extra sweetness. Obviously more goes in to flavor it ( like ketchup, where my ketchup fiends at lol ) but I love knowing that what I put in my bowl has a direct effect on protecting and nourishing my insides, and that every meal I can make the choice to feed or fight disease๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ a vegan diet has taught me this, above many things.
