🙌 Here's how to do the Wheel Pose!

1️⃣ Lay on the ground face up.
2️⃣ Bring your heels close to your butt.
3️⃣ Bend your elbows and place your hands next to your head facing your feet.
4️⃣ Push your feet into the ground and push the hip up towards the ceiling.
5️⃣ Push into your hands and push the rest of the body up towards the ground

Today we shake things up again. We bring you a workout aimed for rugby conditioning, using a crossfit style and approach! Basically it is one grueling circuit repeated in as little time as possible.

Loyola Academy has won the Illinois girls lacrosse state championship for the past 8 years! They've created quite the dynasty and I'm grateful to get to train so many girls from the team during the offseason. 📝This is a finisher or quick circuit workout to challenge your legs and your lungs.

🚀Circuits are great for efficient exercise, but they aren’t everything. I like to post them to help recreational exercisers get the best bang for their buck.

✅Actual lifting is important. You should always have some higher intensity lifting in your program. This requires you to take rest periods in order to get the most out of your lifts. Everyone can use a certain degree of maximal strength. More strength = more power = higher ceiling of performance.
.
🎯Accessory work is where you can customize training to reach specific athletic goals. For example, if you’re a bodybuilder or a long distance cyclist you still need power and maximal strength. These will help to expand your potential. However, your accessory work will be vastly different according to your goals.
.
🔥For weekend warriors, recreational athletes, etc. training changes with the ebbs and flows of life. Don’t be rigid, and don’t let one thing throw you off. If all you have is 20 minutes, fire up a circuit and get it in!

2 weeks out from the meet, more specifically you're preparing to deadlift. For any powerlifters the focus should be on the below points/variables as they prepare for competition:

1- peaking: the process of maximizing preparedness at the desired time
2- preparedness: the sum of fitness and fatigue
3- fitness: how developed your body and mind are for the lift
4- fatigue: how beat up you are physically
5- tapering: the process of reducing training volumes and intensities to bring down fatigue
6- specificity: how good you are at doing 1rm attempts
Here we will be
1- dropping fatigue as much as possible
2- elevating or maintaining fitness as much as possible
3- enhancing specificity

This translates to a lot of sets on your main lift:) good luck
