Ahhh the first sun rays of the day, in what felt like -30 degrees... nothing more relieving, trust me 😂
.
.
You know the feeling of running to sit inside the car when it’s too cold? How the natural warmth inside the car literally feels like a life saviour? 😂
We were dying to get out and not wanting to get out of the car at the same time 😂 .
.
Struggled so hard to cover every part of even our face so that the cold wouldn’t get to us, exchanging scarves and gloves and neck warmers for whatever will be more convenient for me to take pictures in 😂
But believe me, it was all, worth it 😍 .
.
Have you ever been so cold that you instantly want to teleport to summers? .

I can never take enough pictures of flags 😍 .
.
It was so early in the morning, and so cold, it had just snowed, the sun was still rising, but we were out with a camera and a tripod, ready to take the blues while we could; fingers freezing freezing from when you take them out of the gloves to take a picture, nose all numb, but it’s all worth it! .
.
Analysing the clouds, waiting for the first sun rays to touch our faces for some warmth and a happiness to the sky, we couldn’t feel the all night drive from Delhi to reach here one bit. No tiredness in the eyes, no less excitement, and my favourite mountain songs playing repeatedly in my head as I lose myself to how content I feel here 💕 .
.
.
What’s your favourite song on a trip? 😍

Feel toh sirf bike pe aati hai 😍
.
.
Only if all my equipment would fit in the carrier 🤦🏼‍♂
We rented a bike from Leh, to go to Nubra and then to Pangong, and specially requested the guy to add a carrier (instead of saddle bags) on the bike we wanted, big enough to fit the maximum equipment that I was carrying.
Despite all the effort, I still had to leave behind a lot of my stuff and carry just the bare essentials. .
.
Now, being on a bike is fun and all, but not for a photographer, and especially me. I want to stop every time I see something beautiful, and taking stuff out of a perfectly packed carrier, is something I want nobody to go through 🤦🏼‍♂ .
.
Bike ki feel, comes at a price 😂 .

The warmest most culturally beautiful welcome 😍
.
.
I was most excited about going to Srinagar, partly because it was my first time, and mainly because of the beautiful Dal Lake 😍
.
.
I’ve noticed how most of the people travelling to Leh take the route from Manali. Probably because of the stereotype around Srinagar. I myself wasn’t too sure, because I had no idea how the roads would be, where and how it would take us! I was in fact suggesting not taking the route, just because of hardly having any knowledge of it. We decided to go because the fact that we didn’t know anything, excited us, and thank god for the plan 😍

The morning hues, with the reflections of the mountains, the classic Shikaras topped with the excitement of leaving for Leh 😍
Nothing can ever beat the wait to reach the mountains :’) .

These are a few of my favorite things! .

We always stop every time we see flags hung anywhere, even if it’ll take us a good walk to reach to them. I don’t know if it’s just me, but don’t you feel safer around them?
.

There is something in their flutter, in the sound they make which is just so comforting. Their colours, so basic, but so beautiful, their prayers in a language we don’t understand, a culture we aren’t apart of, but give it the same amount of respect. Such little flags, such great significance to probably every traveller. Even if we don’t know what prayers they send out, we know they’re for us, for a safe journey, for a blessed beautiful trip!
.

For me, they’re one of the representations of being on the mountains! Even in Delhi when I see these flags hung somewhere, I always remember the mountains, and I always begin to miss them!
.
.
Aren’t you glad for these flags? .

Always prefer being on foot, always on the foot! .
.
No matter what mode of transport we take, we always look for reasons to walk, or trek. And no matter where and how we’re traveling, our rucksack is our best friend 😍 .

A picture can look completely different with a different perspective, and completely different with a wide angle lens! .
.
Honestly, I wish I could drive with all the doors of the car open, or just own a completely open jeep 😂 .
.
The problem with me, closed doors and the mountains is that I always feel like escaping. And especially with a view like this who wouldn’t want to jump out of the car, into the open, to breathe the fresh air, hear the sounds of the water crashing on the shore, and see the real colours of the entire scene :’) .
.

The blue of the water giving the sky a competition, the shades of brown on the mountains, the shadow of the clouds, the different textures of the sand, that’ll only be clearer from outside the restrictions of the car :’) .
.
.
Can you guess where this picture is from? The correct answers will get my love and appreciation 😂

Blues and Browns and whites and blacks and yellows and greens, possibly all the colors on any possible pallette 😍 .
.
Watching the bluest waters swish over the most beautiful golden landscapes laden with mountains that look like a live painting, only to realize how vast the lake is, stretched all towards China, and how you're so close to another land; a feeling so quiet, looking at something so beautiful that nature created, and how it all fits so perfectly, undisturbed 💕 .

Baby camel in Diskit giving us food for thought...

I spoke about Leh and how’s its losing itself to tourism, and I got a great response. Which was lovely to see because I loved how you guys could relate to me. I also got negative comments though, which was justified because everyone is entitled to having an opinion. .

Nubra Valley and it’s precious double humped camels, giving us the entertainment in an already impeccable location, just to make sure no one gets bored...

Anything better than good weather, is being on the mountains, and having the rains nourish the vegetation making everything so happy 😍 .

Every time I visit Pangong, the number of these scooters increases! .
I’m sure a lot of you got to know about Leh and Pangong through 3 Idiots, which is when probably 70% of our country started travelling to originally an absolutely untouched place, which is also when locals grabbed the opportunity to place a yellow scooter, just like in the movie, to grab more people in. .
A place like Leh is too special for me, and hence I want to talk about something I consider a problem. This is a very debatable topic, so I thought I’ll share my views on it. As a traveller, I love seeing other people explore places, and getting out more, but I’ve had too many instances where metropolitan culture is the only culture that is understood, and tried to implement in places like Pangong; which annoys me because this is nothing but oblivion. .
Always want Leh to remain as is. What do you guys think about this? .

I see snow, and I want to go ;) .

Just finding out about more beautiful places in and around Melbourne, and I can’t have more FOMO (fear of missing out)! .
Melbourne has so much to offer! From snowy mountains, to city hustles, from gorgeous natural shows to the Masterchef worthy food! Kind of what you look for when you’re planning a trip 😍 .
.
Loved to see all your answers in the last post, even I'm excited to announce the winners 😍
