Mountains are always out of the ordinary!
Here's my entry for the @wildcraftin Shutterbug pro challenge 😍
Head on to @wildcraftin to participate ;) #TripOnThis #WildcraftWilding

Always under the stars 🤩
.
.
I always want to take shots during the night of the stars wherever I go, without fail. So my excitement for a trip increases whenever I’m planning something during the summer when the galactic centre is visible 😍 this time though, even though the idealistic scene wasn’t visible, it’s always the best being under the majesty of the stars :’) .
.
We went out once around 12 when the moon was at zero mercy with us, shining as bright as the sun hiding the stars behind all the light. Here’s a tip, check a star map (I use SkyView) to see when the moon is setting to plan your late night photography excursions ;) .
.
The first attempt in vain, we decided to go again at 3 a.m. when after the alarm rang, @justthetwo_ ditched me 🤦🏼‍♂️ Pangong, without the moon, was pitch black, with just the sound of the lake to guide me from entering into the water 😂
The result of -15 degrees, freezing fingers and face, spotting at least 15 shooting stars, and a scary night excursion never disappoints ;) .

Life tip 123456: always make most of what you have! 😍 .
.
We were going to Pangong when we were stopped due to ongoing work on the road leading to Chang La. It’s late October, it’s freezing, we’re at almost 16,000 ft, but we can’t be inside the warmth and pressure of the car for those multiple hours. .
.
We decided to go for a little excursion out and meet the car ahead on the way when the roads open. Taking pictures, panting and struggling to battle the headache we were having and making plans of walking till we have sunlight (even though it was just faintly keeping us warm), it all made it a walk to remember :’) .
.
While walking, a truck coming from the opposite direction stopped out of worry and told us to sit inside; he told us how we should be careful, how city people can’t stand high altitude and extreme cold! We must’ve walked 3 km and trust me, at that altitude it feels like 6 😂 but luckily, by the time we finished talking to the driver (who was so selflessly worried) our car reached us and so the truck driver rode away in peace 💕 .
.
Have you had a walk to remember? I would love to hear about it 😍

Bikes are always a yes for me, especially in Leh, no matter how cold it is and always #ReadyforAnything 😍
It was almost sundown, and we were trying to reach the city from our little excursion, because honestly the cold was just unbearable even with the shield of the helmet on 😂 .

This is hands down, my favourite road! Don’t you guys have a favourite road somewhere in your city or elsewhere? 😍
.
.
Leh gets you excited when your approaching the city, by road or by air. Mountains literally all over the perimeter, the town looking small in the distance, and absolutely perfectly laid roads 😍 .
.
As soon as we reached Leh, we still couldn’t believe it because everything happened so fast! I called my friend Rinzen to get me a bike; only when I feel my finger tips and nose freezing in the cold, and the sound of the bike gliding over the roads, would I believe I’m finally here :’) .
.
.
.
What and where is your favourite road? 😍
.

Long planned spontaneous plans are the best 😂
.
.
Talking about spontaneity, since we took a flight this time to Leh, we didn’t have our own car to drive in and around the city. Which only later we realised we didn’t like at all, because we can’t do cabs 🤦🏼‍♂ .
.
Anybody who drives very frequently will understand how uncomfortable it is to sit shotgun and not being able to drive yourself 😂 specially in a place like Leh, which I’m sure all of you understand is my favourite 🤦🏼‍♂ .
.
Do you preferring driving yourself, or are taxis more comfortable? .
.
.
#TravelwithAnunay #lehdiaries

I sat on the window seat on a flight to Leh and it’s safe to say I had my eyes out the window like a 5 year old kid :’) .
.
There is not a journey more satisfying than to Leh, my road or by air, and the onset of winter just makes everything so much better! .
.
This was actually the first time I decided to physically record my journey. Sometimes I feel it’s so much better to take mental photographs of something you find beautiful. .
.
Do you guys do it too? Aren’t surroundings too overwhelming sometimes to take your phone out? .
.
.
#TravelwithAnunay #lehdiaries

I’ve been here so many times, been on these mountains so many times, driven here so many times, that now I’ve been so well trained that I can associate a place by looking at the mountains and guess what month a picture was taken during 😂 .
.
We drove up to this village trying to find a spot from where apparently all the villages around Kaza are visible, and ended up here with the tires of our car punctured 🤦🏼‍♂️
We tried seeking help from the locals there, but the 5-6 people we found there outside their houses, weren’t exactly helpful. A man who agreed to talk to us offered to give us his car (which we later found had weak brake), wanted a good amount of money in return and also a full fuel tank, which later we had to accept due to lack of resources 🤦🏼‍♂️ .
.
Can you guess this village? 😍
.
.
.
#TravelwithAnunay #spitivalley

It’s always about the journey, than the destination, except in Leh where both will leave you speechless :’) .
.
Never have I enjoyed landslides or road blockages ever before. It just gives you an excuse to stop and admire your surroundings, which when you’re in Leh, you want to do all the time 😍 .
.
How many times do you stop during a road trip? 😍
.

All nice things happen at night 😍
.
.
We were planning our basic nightly excursions the first night we reached Leh, because we just can't keep warm without the stars being our blanket :') Our friends, lending us a bike for the next day, took us to Stok Village at 2 in the night, with wood and fuel in the truck for a bonfire (for post the photo sesh) 😍
.
.
We climbed and climbed, on mountains we couldn't properly see, till we found the perfect spot for the marvelous milky way, with our flash lights on the phone turned on, to show us the way! .
.
Isn't the sky so much better from when you're on the mountains? ;)
