It's posts like this that mean the world to me! I met Kristen last night at our show in Rhode Island- She shared with me her how she lost one of her best friends Katie in a tragic car accident, and my music got her through, particularly Forever Summer. Reading this post tonight just made it extra extra special for me too, now. So thankful to be able to help people with music, and I never ever take it for granted. Mahalo ke akua!!
REPOST from @kristenlee91 :
No words could possibly do last night any justice. No words could possibly explain the emotions I felt while watching one of mine and Katie's favorite artists perform some of our favorite songs live at our favorite bar. As cliché as it may sound, it felt like a dream... Like Katie was standing right next to me with her arm around my shoulder, wiping all my tears away and swaying with me to the rhythm (quick shout out to @lizlarose for literally doing just that❤️). @anuheajams reminds me so much of Katie; her spirit is so strong, infectious, and full of life, it's impossible not to feel the positive vibes she radiates. She has gotten me through some of the best and worst times and I cannot thank her enough for making such beautiful and authentic music, putting on such an unbelievable show, dedicating a song to Katie and I, and making my world a more peaceful place.
Sometimes I find myself in situations that can't be explained using words... So here are some emojis 😄🌎☮️🌺🎶✌️🌞🌸🌄👏🌻💙🤘🎉🌈🕉️ #hawaiidreaming #hawaii #anuhea #foreversummer #foreverfriends #omist #oceanmist #goodvibes #katievibes #soulsister
