JOINVILLE // A medium-sized city made up of German, Swiss and Norwegian immigrants and migrants from other parts of the country, is the place where I was born and raised. It's also the place I did everything I could to get away from. Sixteen years later, the city feels like a new, almost foreign place. Much has changed and evolved, but the history I once took for granted, now surfaces to the foreground. Its charming European architecture, food and culture mixed with the established friends and family ties I have, make this once undesired place, one that I actually look forward to visiting. Hoping to spend more quality time there with the loved ones next time I visit.
