My last picture from my trip to Northern Arizona. To get to this vantage point it's about a 15 minute relatively easy hike. One of my many thoughts while walking the trail was that I wouldn't fully enjoy it due to the amount of people that were there to see the sunset view. As we arrived we immediately go to a spot that was open near the edge, it only offered a partial view, I quickly left that spot to patiently wait because there were so many people. After about 5 minutes I find a spot which is the view you're seeing in the picture. As I looked over the edge, laying face first on my stomach I suddenly noticed and heard no one. It felt so private and intimate and literally everything became silent and extremely calming. The beauty and the scale of it immediately made me understand my place, it made me feel very irrelevant in the best way. It was another layer of the ego armour stripped away helping me get closer to my core. As I keep stripping away these layers things that once mattered don't, things that should matter do, and sometimes nothing matters, which is liberating. I didn't want to leave and stayed until it was completely dark, but when we finally did I felt realigned and am so grateful for the experience which helped me get closer to myself.
