Today was 6 Sets of 6 Reps at 210kg on the Smolov Deadlift Programme. Made extra painful considering I Fractured and Dislocated my finger 6 days ago.... what I put myself through for Gains.

And back to the Love hate relationship of Squats. Just before starting Deadlifts on Smolov, I wanted to see what my working set on Squats would be... got up to 170kg for 8 reps ➑ 7 reps ➑ 6 reps and a set of 5 reps I did not film as I was trying to get 4 x 8 πŸ˜£πŸ˜–. #Gym #Squats #Squatseveryday #thedifferentanglesthough #Foreverlearning

After noticing my Instagram was literally being filled with Squats, Deadlifts and BenchPress, I thought to myself it was time to get back to mixing it up a little, so what better way than trying to pick up Chicks ha, seen this done by @jujimufu and a few others so wanted to see if I could... was really hard but great fun. And Yes I do not know how to, plus suck at doing Turkish get-up πŸ˜…. Thanks for the trust @hollypopscircus πŸ’ͺ

1st set ➑ last set
As I start to fatigue I immediately go back to what feels "safe/Comfortable" or we can say it as it is... bad habits of unlocking at the hips and arching my back, instead of moving my hips back which although for this angle you can not see the Butt wink is real 😫. Oh and not sure due to the time I had in between the last few reps if they can even be counted as part of the same set πŸ˜….

Some Pauses Squats, in my head I was trying to count 10 seconds however time seems to go a little slower when in the bottom of a Squat πŸ€”πŸ˜‘. 170kg , ➑ 160kg ➑ and 140kg.

Was so close yet so far, 150kg for two singles was ment to get 2 x 2. I really do dislike Bench Press, it just hurts... plus I am extra weak in this movement (the main reason why I dislike it so much Is that I suck at it πŸ˜…) probably really should not like the gym as much as I do going by that statement πŸ˜‚. Props to @hayleysalmon for doing as I say and not as I do.

I have always been pretty stubborn. I normally refuse to give up, but some times you need to stop reassess and try again. Quitting is never the answer as technically to can not fail if you never stop trying, you might just run out of time πŸ˜…. First two "epically failed" attempts are just under 4 weeks ago trying to get 200kg squats... and today I had to do it for 2 Sets of 2 Reps... Why? Well because the my program said so... got to love the Smolov.

I really do dislike training Chest. Never seem to get any better at it.. 3 x 3 on what should have been 142.5kg... however after the first set was forced to lower the weight as assistance from "The King" AKA @chriselitefit to come one arm Curl it up for me. So had to lower it to 140kg for my 3 x 3. That Dam 1.25kg plate destroyed me πŸ˜…πŸ˜–πŸ€•πŸ˜­. #Gym #Benchpress #Chestday #Adding1.25kgtoyourmaxworkload #Smolov #Foreverlearning

6 sets of 6 reps Pauses on 120kg. Bench Press is definitely one of my weakest areas (and calf but who care about calf right πŸ˜’πŸ˜–πŸ˜­)... So what is better than running one Smolov program πŸΈβ˜•... running two back to back with no rest period and accelerating both programmes of course πŸ˜–... Half way through. "Parental Warning" please kids do not try this at home πŸ˜… may result in total body shutdown. This program is definitely not for the faint hearted. Week 3, 6 sets of 6 reps - 160kg. As for the plate arrangement.... I too feel the pain with the OCD tendencies, but it blame it on my training partner @hayleysalmon as it is the most efficient way to alter the weights. #Gym #Squats #Smolov #Squatseveryday #Foreverlearning
