I am so excited about the I Look Like A Fisherman card series that I did in collaboration with @aksalmonsisters which have now officially launched! There are 5 cards in each set, all featuring papercut illustrations of mine. 50% of proceeds are going to sponsoring a young female fisherman to attend the 2017 Alaska Young Fisherman's Summit. This is one of the original papercuts from the series (and one of my personal favorites). You can buy the cards over on the Salmon Sisters site, or on mine. ⚓️ 📷 @twoshakesofalambstail

I had this whole vision about how my first visit to @hamahamaoysters would be by bicycle. But it has been grey and rainy and finally a couple of weekends ago we just made it happen by four wheels instead (the horror!). Consider it scouting for summer adventures.

To spring and perpetual astonishment. 🌸

Yesterday I went out to bathe in liquid sunshine and enjoy a treatment of mud therapy. ie: PNW spa life.

I've been working on a project lately that has involved researching archived images from Seattle. I came across this one from the 1940s, which had absolutely nothing to do with the project I am working on, but it made me smile nonetheless. "In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt." -Margaret Atwood. Snapped this shot of the new @comestiblejournal spring coffee cup in the five or so rain-free minutes today in which I almost felt like it was spring. (11 and 15 ounce coffee mugs available -

A year ago I was hustling the Kickstarter campaign for the first issue of @comestiblejournal. Since then I've managed to publish four issues. It has been hard but worth it. I'm going to change things up a little bit this year and go to two issues instead of four, but still committed to continuing to provide a platform for strong storytelling that uses food as a lens to tackle issues like gender, culture, etc. To make a little room for 2017 projects, I've also made Volume 1 available as a package deal: $44 for the first four issues!
