The Dolphin pose is one of the most effective strength and stability-building poses in yoga. It strengthens the legs, arms and core while opening the shoulders and the back. It also prepares the body and mind to go upside down.
How to:
- press your forearms firmly into the floor and the chest towards the legs
- lengthen your tailbone and the entire spine
- relax your neck
- engage the legs and the core
- hips towards the ceiling - heels drawn down
- slightly bend the knees to avoid when rounding your back.
