Hello everyone! Another Monday and another week. In one of my previous posts I got tipped by @waterthruskin about a service called Climate Care to offset your CO2 emissions. For those who fly a lot, it is a great way to minimize your footprint. I read some of you experiencing the same difficulties with traveling as I had. Perhaps this could help.πŸ’‘
Also I want to introduce my new favorite handbag of @pieterszoon, a Dutch design brand that stands for slow fashion. All of their bags are made in their own studio. Currently dragging this little panter πŸ† everywhere πŸ€— Have a great day everyone! πŸ“Έ @barbarasalem

The morning I left to Santorini, the taxi driver said: 'you go to Santorini for pictures?' Once I arrived there the whole Oia part is so Instagrammable and everyone is so busy with their shots. The best photos are however made when you are not allowed to stand on someones roof. You see text like: 'no photos here' on their own roofs and we have even heard local people getting upset by a tourist who was intruiding someone's private area. For me it was a realization that we really need to respect the people who live in these places. I could have more crazy shots but I felt like it's just sometimes enough. We are guests in their country and some people should behave more like it I think. So that was my personal story for today haha. Perhaps you recognize it. Oh and by the way, this spot on the photo was an open space to sit πŸ˜‰πŸ˜…

Kindness is the star that twinkles and the sun that shines. Goodnight Amsterdam, good morning and good day somewhere else 🌞

I have been debating with myself and others to what extent you can travel eco friendly. By taking a plane you already have an impact on the environment. I used to take the plane quite often but now I am consciously picking my trips and try to minimize the amount of times I travel somewhere by plane. Is that enough or should you ban the plane completely? Curious to hear your thoughts. Happy weekend everyone πŸ’›

So my day really starts by having a cup of coffee β˜•. In Oia you can enjoy a nice cup if you are willing to pay for it. On average a cup costs between €5 to €7. The funny part is however that the food is quite cheap (eggs are €6 for example). A take away cup of coffee on the other hand is around €3. So you can still enjoy a cup of coffee when you are on a budget. The views are stunning everywhere! πŸ“Έ @barbarasalem

Throwback to Paris πŸ—Ό Are you a book reader? If yes, which one do you recommend?

Happy Friday everyone! Next week I am travelling to Santorini and I would love to hear your tips (food, hotspots etc). Just got my ultimate eco-friendly travel bag from @chabobags. All their bags are made in India and Indonesia under fair conditions. Great example for many other bag brands I would say. Have a nice weekend everyone πŸ’›

From sunny Sardinia to the fall in The Netherlands. Yellow leaves and some sparks of sun and a lot of rain haha. As some of you know I have been working in the sustainable industry for some time now. I really love to see all the great companies that come up with unique ideas. One of these organisations is @felyx. An electric scooter company whereby you can rent the scooters throughout the city by using an app. It's goal is to reduce cars and normal scooters which is ideal in my point of view. Their first city was Amsterdam and also now they are active in Rotterdam. I am pretty sure that they are going to enter other countries as well πŸ˜‰ #felyxrotterdam

Closing my eyes and thinking about this beautiful moment. Swimming in these crystal clear waters which we don't have in the Netherlands. A moment to realize what nature gives us and why we need to take of it. πŸ’™
