As I am sure most of you know, the British Championships is less than 50 days away now and after my last update on my injury back in October post my second surgery I was hoping this was going to be my first competition back. Unfortunately the British Championships and Europeans is out for me😔
I am absolutely gutted to be writing this post, but I am now currently 1 week post my 3rd surgery. I had ligament reconstruction surgery in April 2018, I then had surgery back in October to remove scar tissue which was thought to be giving me the pain and restriction, however that still did not clear it. Last week I travelled to Madrid for my 3rd operation. With in the surgery they discovered that my deltoid ligament was stuck to the bone, this being the reason I couldn’t get full range in my ankle.
I am happy to say 1 week post surgery I am feeling very confident, and would like to thank British Gymnastics, South Essex Gym Club for being behind me all the way, Jason, Chris and everyone at EIS, my family, friends and Sports Sphere who have supported me over the past 10 months and a huge thank you to Niek Van Dijk, my surgeon out in Madrid.
I can’t wait to start working hard on my rehab/ training and be back out there performing again at the end of the year ❤️ • @britishgymnasticsofficial @eis2win @rossfalsetta @scotthann @thesportssphere @cameronparktkd •
