Flashback Friday...1 week post partum to 5 months later. These photos are 5 months a part. Left was the week after I had my son and the right was this morning.
It hasn’t been easy but I did it! I made it back to my pre baby weight. Some days were easier than others but the one thing I didn’t do was give up. Even on the bad days, I kept pushing through. Right after I had my son I started eating healthy and taking daily walks. No fancy diet or diet pills gave me these results, just watching what I ate and getting my workouts in (no ladies I promise I didn’t run miles and miles a day). This was from daily walks and weight training. I just started adding in more cardio as of lately. Now that I am a mom, I totally get the “I don’t have time” excuse trust me I do. But at the end of the day, this is your body. You only get one of them so I ask you this...how do you want to feel? For me, I didn’t want to take years to lose my baby weight, I wanted to jump right back into it. Everyone is different, this is just my journey.
I get that some women have complications and can’t exercise right after baby. Take your time and start when your ready, the point is to just get started and that can happen in your kitchen. Start eating clean 80% of the time and you will see some big changes. I promise. So to all my new mommas out there, don’t get discouraged about how much you have to lose, just focus on small daily goals. After all, you just had a baby and that’s an amazing thing, so take your time and start when your ready! .
