Thought I'd share a few leg lift variations that I did at the gym today πŸ’ͺ🏼😊 @goodlifehc
Any time you do leg lifts like these or are working on lower abs, make sure you stretch your hip flexors afterwards!!
These exercises can over activate your hip flexors which can cause lower back pain if you don't release them 😩 another reason to finish off your session at the gym with a good stretch! 😜

Afternoon run and stretch βž°πŸ‘Ÿ@hm #hmsport
If you've followed me for a while, you know I'm not the biggest fan of distance running 🀒 haha
I've always been a short burst explosive athlete (hence the pole vault, high jump, and gymnastics πŸ˜‰) BUT I do like the challenge of longer runs and also the feeling after 😍 ...pretty sure it's mainly because the pain is over!! 😝
So today, I did my version of a long run and did 40min of walk/jog intervals at the park with my dogs πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸΆπŸΆ
I think it's important to challenge yourself with things that take you out of your comfort zone, even if you do modify it to make it a little more pleasant 😬 Challenges inspire growth and progress, and without these things I think life would be pretty bland...
So what about you guys?! What type of training challenges you?? Anyone else not a distance runner?? 😜 #fitness #challenge

Monday afternoons have turned into my little 'hot yoga crew' catch up 😝 which consists of my boyfriend @_adamdunne my neighbour @danielletrop and my friend down the road @mammu_liisu )
It's actually so good to start off the week together!! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ (even tho we end up drenched in sweat, red faced, and feeling like jello 😝 haha) I definitely get a massive motivation boost! 😍πŸ’ͺ🏼 #friendswhosweattogether

I've shared it in my Insta story before but here it is again just incase you missed it...it's a killer!!

15sec 70% sprint as far as you can
15sec REST
>> repeat 10times (total 5min)

We did this 3 times with 3min recovery in between sets, and used the 100m straight to run n up and back πŸ’ͺ🏼

Finished off with abs and chin ups and now I'm 😡 haha

Friday feels πŸ¦„

Back to some light running today πŸ™ŒπŸΌβž°πŸ‘Ÿ
Lately I've been getting lots of questions about what I eat in a day πŸ“πŸ³πŸžπŸ₯— so today I've shared some of my meals in Insta story 😬
I'm a vegetarian and I basically don't aim to cut out anything from my diet (apart from meat πŸ˜‰), rather I look to eat as much variety and fresh, whole foods as I can πŸ₯•πŸŒ½πŸ… I'm also not a huge 'snack' person so I usually have 3 square meals (I find this works best for me) and I am definitely a creature of habit with most of my meals being quite similar during the week (avocado on toast, stir fry's, vegetarian burritos, noodle soups, salads etc 😝). YES, I eat dessert (dark chocolate is the go-to! 🍫😬), and I do eat pizza/chips/burgers when I go out for dinner...Food is good. Whether it's good for your body or your soul and we should enjoy it and not feel stressed when it comes to eating.
I don't believe there is one perfect way to eat. Overall balance is key, stay away from overly processed/'man made' ingredients, build a positive relationship with eating, and of course actually listen to your body and how it reacts to what you put in it. Apart from that, you do you ✌🏼#food

Back in the gym 😈πŸ’ͺ🏼 @goodlifehc
Easing back into workouts with some bodyweight exercises at an easy pace 😊 I was sick with a flu all of last week so this is my fist workout back for like 10days!
I want you guys to remember that having a bad day or bad week doesn't mean you have lost all the progress you've made. Your body has great muscle memory and after a few consistent workouts back, you will be killing it again πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ I promise!!
If you ever feel like you're in a bit of a shitty patch, all it takes is one small positive effort to get back on track! 😘 #smallwins

From the outside it's hard to see how much goes into what we do (yes it's not just me here!!), from creating #freshbodyfitmind , live yoga, planning and organising events and retreats, blogging, trying to master our IT/web design/customer service/content creation skills (and I say trying πŸ˜‘ haha), endless hours of learning and research, and of course every photo and video you see here...it's all been a huge learning curve together πŸ‘«
Like anything, it sometimes doesn't go to plan (or fails all together!!) but we keep fighting πŸ’ͺ🏼
