Choose your own adventure with Abiqua Falls! For those with 4WD, a bumpy gravel road can get you within a mile of these falls, or take your time with a slightly longer hike from the paved parking area. Despite the short length of the hike, the scramble down to the falls will have you feeling like an intrepid adventurer. Stay left and look for the ropes that people have left to assist with the trickier spots. Views of this waterfall never get old!⠀

Notes from the Hidden Lake Lookout Trail: At 2.5 miles the trail recrosses the creek (elev. 5200 ft) and begins angling south. Stop to admire Mount Baker hovering in the western sky. Now across heather slopes punctuated with shiny granite slabs funneling cascading snowmelt, enjoy increasing views and an alpine wonderland intensifying in beauty.⠀

Thanks to @kylaadawn and @af_usher11 for this epic shot! Link to this trail in our bio.

With fall colors in full swing in Colorado, the trek to Crystal Mill is a must do this season. Link to this trail in our bio. ⠀

With no light pollution or man-made objects in sight, explorers have an opportunity to witness the same view the Anasazi people had - an expanse of rich, sun-baked canyons, mesas, and buttes carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers, all within a red rock frame.
