Aren’t these animal woven wall decor hoops absolutely gorgeous? 😍 They’re handmade by Marissa of @mintandwoolly and I adore how she combines weaving with embroidery and crochet in her signature kawaii aesthetic! 💕They would be so cute in a nursery or child’s room, and I can’t wait to put these up in my workspace!
.
These hoops along with many other beautiful handmade items by talented artists are featured in my blog post entitled “Etsy Picks for Crafters”! ✨ Check out the post to discover some new shops and for future gift ideas or wish list items! 🎁 Features artists include: @twillandprint , @bookhou , @woolfield.studio , @amenagerieofstitches , @wcoastmom , @croochetshop , @littleaquagirl , @petite_tini , @momomintsshop , @la.reserve.design , @mamaknowsluxury & @debrosse_nyc ❤️

Over the weekend, Ryan, my brother and I attended the @animethon ✨. Since we didn’t have the girls with us, I could do some #knalking (ie knitting + walking at the same time) and fully maximize my time 😆. Whenever we were in a line up or I was done looking at a booth while the others were still browsing, I whipped out my work in progress and knitted away! Have you tried knitting or crocheting while walking (#crochalking )? 🙋🏻‍♀️ I feel like key components are: having an easy pattern requiring little concentration and having your project easily accessible so the working yarn can unwind (my cute grey tassel bag is only $12.99 from @miniso.official 👜)! If you feel like trying this out or maybe you do it all the time, let us know where and when you do your knalking and crochalking and feel free to show us!
.
Swipe to see more pics from the @Animethon 🤗. I was wearing my matching Totoro dress and cardi from @hottopic ; I bought an adorable Puurmaid enamel pin from @nenalanddesigns ; we visited Carrie of @ohanacraft and her always amazing amigurumi booth; I bought a cute little bubble tea from @faithvarvara ❤️

There’s a new cotton blend yarn in town and it’s called COBOO 💕. It’s a 50% cotton/50% Bamboo lightweight level 3 yarn that comes in some gorgeous shades as pictured here (12 in total). It’s a great year round yarn since it’s cool to the touch, soft against the skin, and has beautiful drape! It’s very similar to the LB Collection’s Cotton Bamboo (the yarn that I used for the Calla Lily Cardigan), so keep this in mind if you’re looking for a yarn alternative!✨ What would you make with it? So many new yarns to try 😍

I love how portable sock projects are as you can easily bring them anywhere! 🧦 Since it’s broken down into different components, it keeps the process interesting and it’s such a thrill seeing the sock build up! I’ll be blogging about my first pair of knitted socks this week and sharing my tips and experiences with you ☺️. In case you want to reference my sock update videos, I added them to my highlights!
.
Sock aficionados: what would you recommend trying next? Toe up, two at a time, fish lips kiss heel? I’d love to know what YOU love! ❤️ {On the Go Arm Project Bag by @stitchandhustle ✨. I love being able to sling the bag around my arm and work on my projects on the go!}

Do you have a favourite @Etsy shop? Or do you own an Etsy shop? I’m putting together a gift guide/top picks blog post in collaboration with @EtsyCA and I’d love to hear about your favourites! 💕 Feel free to introduce yourselves, where you’re from, and what you make and sell so we can all get to know each other! I LOVE browsing Etsy and discovering new handmade artists, so if there are any cool shops I should know about, please let me know! ☺️ Tag your favourites to let them know how awesome they are too!

Jenn of @croochetshop sells amazingly adorable amigurumi in her Etsy shop, like chubby whales and little duckling keychains! 🐤🐳 She crocheted these two specifically for Myla & Brie using these colours so that they would match the mermaid tail blankets that I made for them 😱😍. Thank you, Jenn!!! Check out her Etsy shop for cuteness overload!

I am sooo incredibly excited to share the Calla Lily Cardigan Crochet Pattern with you all as it is now up on the blog! 💕 This unique garment is constructed from a basic rectangle that is folded and seamed in a special way! Another amazing feature is that it can be worn TWO DIFFERENT WAYS 😱😍✌🏻 When you flip the piece upside down so that the picot edging is along the top, it becomes an adorable shrug!
.
The Calla Lily Cardigan can be worn year-round as it is so lightweight and versatile, and perfect for those of you who live in tropical climates 😎. The @lionbrandyarn kit is on sale for 20% off for a limited time only, and it’s a great way to snag all the luxurious Cotton Bamboo yarn you need for this cardi! 🙌🏻 Who’s excited to make their own?
.
***Which way would you wear it more: as a cardi or a shrug? Let me know in the comments below and you could WIN A PDF (10 pages containing the entire bobble trellis stitch and construction tutorial)! 🙌🏻 Be sure to watch my IGTV to see me wearing the cardigan both ways ❤️

On a recent trip to the mall, I found this adorable little bucket bag at @miniso.official , and I immediately thought it would make an awesome project bag 💕 Since it sits flat, the yarn can roll around inside (like a yarn bowl), and there’s a little pocket inside to hold some stitch markers or hooks. The drawstring allows me to fully shut the lining so that nothing falls out when I’m walking around 🙌🏻. This bag is perfect for small projects like amigurumi and socks! My store had grey and black, and it’s only $12.99 CAD! If you have a Miniso in your area, go check it out (I got mine at the @official_wem location)!

I whipped up this sweet little Butterfly Baby hat for an upcoming baby shower! 🦋 The detailing is so cute, and it works up quickly since it uses double crochets! The free pattern is by Alli Crafts, and it’s the one I used for Brielle’s newborn shoot years ago (I’ll link to the pattern in my stories)! ✨

I’ve decided to call my newest crochet design...the Calla Lily Cardigan ✨ Since I like alliteration and I wanted to play up the garden aspect of the bobble trellis stitch, I looked up flowers that started with the letter “C”! The name seemed to roll off the tongue, and I thought that the stitches kind of looked like elegant calla lilies! I knew it was meant to be when we attended a wedding over the weekend (I wore my new cardigan over a dress to the ceremony), and the bouquets and boutonnières were all calla lilies 😱😳
.
The crochet pattern will be up next week, but in the meantime, you can check out my step-by-step photo tutorial and video of how to crochet the bobble trellis stitch! It’s such a beautiful, open and airy stitch, and I know I’ll be using it more in future designs 💕 Who’s excited to crochet their own romantic Calla Lily Cardigan? {Yarn used: @LionBrand Yarn Cotton Bamboo, Hook used: @CloverUSA Amour 3.25 mm}

You know how some yarns and colourways immediately draw you in? When I saw these new yarns called “Wrap Star” and “Ombré Life” in these pink/grey/white colourways on the @lionbrandyarn website, I knew I HAD to get my hands on some! 💕 We were actually shown Wrap Star in January at the blogger bash, and I distinctly remember Jess of @makeanddocrew standing beside me and saying, “this is totally an AllAboutAmi colourway” hehe ☺️ I am excited to play around with these as sometimes it can be hard finding yarns that are lighter than worsted weight!
.
Here are some details:
✨ Wrap Star: 70% acrylic, 30% wool: lightweight level 3, 100 grams
✨ Ombré Life: 50% acrylic, 50% cotton: fine level 2, 100 grams
.
Both yarns are very unique because they are comprised of multiple strands that have been wound together! Check my IG stories to see videos of these yarns! Do you typically work with bulkier or finer yarns? What would you make with these beauties? 😍

I’m so excited to show you a sneak peek of my latest crochet design 💕 I brought this delicate and lightweight cardi with me to San Diego and I loved wearing it over dresses and tank tops! I’m working on writing up the tutorial and trying to figure out sizing! ☺️ In the meantime, I need YOUR HELP in naming this design!
.
Here are some details:
▫️I used Cotton Bamboo from the LB Collection by @lionbrandyarn
▫️This cardigan is made from ONE RECTANGLE 🙌🏻 It’s a different take on a blanket sweater!
▫️I’m calling this stitch “The Bobble Trellis Stitch”, and there is a delicate picot edging along the bottom!
.
Can anyone think of any romantic names for this piece? 💕 I love hearing your ideas! If I go with your idea, I’ll send you a PDF of the design as soon as I’m done! 🙌🏻 Who’s excited for this design? #callalilycardigan

This is me knitting the instep of my first sock on my tiny 9” circulars for those of you who wanted to see it in action! ☺️ I looove the beautiful tiny stitches! I’ve been powering through the second sock and I’m pretty much at this exact same point 💪🏻 The second time round has gone faster since I haven’t stopped to take pics or vids and I’m more familiar with the process now! Eeek soon BOTH feet will be enveloped in cozy handknit stitches 💕
