Here’s a sneak peek of my highly anticipated pink sweater...the Downtown Cardigan! 💗 This gorgeous chunky sweater is the sequel to the Midtown Cardigan as it uses the same relaxing garter stitch, but in a bulky level 5 yarn (@lionbrandyarn ‘s Color Made Easy in “Millennial”) so it works up amazingly quickly 🙌🏻 Free knit pattern and kit coming next week! I am completely in love with the fit, color and look of this cardigan and hope you love it as much as I do 🤗.
.
Some of you mentioned how you’d love to knit it together and get some encouragement along the way! I know it’s a busy time with the holidays coming up, but would you be interested if I hosted a very casual Downtown Cardigan Knitalong and created a Facebook group? I would lay out which parts to tackle week by week and we could spur each other on by seeing each other’s progress so you could make your own gorgeous cardi before Christmas! Who’s interested? 🙋🏻‍♀️ If you’re a crocheter who’s always wanted to try knitting, this is a great beginner project as it’s super straight-forward! You can honestly have this cardigan done within a week- it’s that quick to work up as the stitches fly off your needles! In the meantime, brush up on your garter stitch- I have a full, detailed “How to Knit Garter Stitch” on my blog with plenty of pictures and a video too! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone ❤️

One of my favourite colour combinations is pink and grey, so I am thrilled to show you this beautiful design: the Crosswinds Triangle Scarf ✨ This piece has stunning diagonal lines created by special stitches (I thought the Crosswinds name was so fitting), and decorative edging and luxurious tassels worked in a contrast complementary colour! 💗 It was my first time using Wool-Ease by @lionbrandyarn (the worsted weight version), and I love how it is 20% wool/80% acrylic! The free pattern, step-by-step and video tutorial are all on the blog!
.
@LionBrandYarn has a kit for the Crosswinds Triangle Scarf available, and I personally picked 3 options for the Main Color: this blush pink, a soft sea-foam green called “Seaspray” and a darker grey for neutral lovers (swipe to see the combos)! It’s on sale for 35% off right now (along with all my other kits- they’re an amazing deal right now), so this kit is only $15.59 (you get 5 skeins of yarn)! 😱😍 Who is going to try and make this statement scarf?

Plenty of texture, diagonal lines and tassels coming your way next week ✨💗 {Yarn: Wool-Ease by @lionbrandyarn , gorgeous @bqueencollection Crochet hook, @chaptersindigo Zipper pouch}.

I’ve been sharing a lot of patterns and designs with you on my blog recently and while it may *seem* as though I can crochet or knit really quickly, I want to keep it real with y’all! I crocheted the Heartland Boho Crochet Wrap back in 2016 and just finally posted it last week...and I started knitting my Light Breeze Sweater in March and actually finished it in June but wanted to wait till the fall to post it! 🍂 Sometimes I’ll put down a project if I don’t have the motivation for it anymore, or if it’s not the right season to wear it. Sometimes I’ll get an idea and shift my focus to a new project even though I have several other WIP’s already 😆 Over the years I’ve had several projects that I’ve abandoned, but that is all part of my creative process and I am completely fine with that! I have 2 projects in mind that I started before but stopped, and I plan on picking them back up in 2019. When the motivation and interest returns, I will finish them 💪🏻. All this is to say that I have lulls and highs in my creative journey, and some projects have been in the works for a while. If you have WIP’s from years back, don’t worry- sometimes you need that motivation or inspiration to come back! Once it does, you can finish it 🙌🏻. Does anyone have any long-term projects that they are determined to finish?

The Light Breeze Sweater is now on the blog! It’s worked up in the amazingly soft Feels Like Butta, so it feels incredible against the skin! 💙 Think of this striped sweater as your favourite sweatshirt: oversized, relaxed and oh so comfortable! Throw it on over a pair of leggings or jeans and you’re set 👌🏻. In the fall and winter months I live in long tops + leggings, so I’m sooo happy that’s I’ve added this handmade piece of my wardrobe! ✨ Check out the free knit pattern on my blog in various sizes!
.
I HIGHLY recommend you snag the @lionbrandyarn kit now as it’s currently 30% OFF and you get all the Feels Like Butta yarn you’ll need! It comes in 4 different stripe color options, and the Small/Medium size is only $20.99 which is a steal of a deal for a long sweater! 😱😍 Get it now for your holiday crafting! I’ve been told that this yarn holds up well in the washer and dryer, and it’s very fun to knit with! Who’s going to make their own Light Breeze Sweater? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Have you seen the @debrosse_nyc November maker challenge? ✨ As soon as I saw Teresa’s adorable little wreaths on Friday (go to her feed to see them), I knew I had to whip one up since they’re so quick to make and I happened to have a random plastic ring in my craft drawer 🙌🏻 I wanted to add my own kawaii touch with a sweet little bow ❤️ I think I’ll use this as a decoration on our Christmas tree so we can add another handmade ornament to it!
.
Check out Teresa’s video tutorial in her highlights entitled “Challenge”! I used @lionbrandyarn ‘s 24/7 Cotton for the wreath part and Bonbons for the bow 🎀. Here’s the pattern for a quick little bow:
• Using 2 mm hook, Chain 9.
• Row 1: Starting in 2nd chain from hook, Sc 8.
• Rows 2-3: Chain 1, turn. Starting in 2nd chain from hook, Sc 8.
• Sc around side edge, top, and other side edge of bow. Fasten off.
• Wrap yarn around middle of bow to cinch it in.
• Bottom ends of bow (make 2): Chain 7. Slip stitch down chain, fasten off and attach to bow.
.
Who else is going to try making their own little wreaths? 🙋🏻‍♀️ #DMC💚

I am sooo excited to show you a sneak peek of this insanely soft, oversized, relaxed and comfy sweater that I never want to take off! 💙 Introducing the Light Breeze Sweater, the lighter-weight version of my popular Sea Breeze Sweater! It has those classic and striking stripes and is long enough to be worn over leggings 🙌🏻.
.
The free pattern and @lionbrandyarn kit will be available next week! Can you guess what yarn I used to knit this beauty just by looking at the picture? 🤔 If you want to find out, go and take a peek at my stories and see what this sweater looks like in action! Then you’ll know why it’s the softest and most comfy pullover ever! ✨ Have a great weekend, everyone!

You guessed it- I will be knitting the “Cozy Thoughts Colorwork Cardigan” in the @knitcollage knitalong and my yarn has arrived! 💖 I’ve casted on the back panel and will attempt the colorwork soon- it’ll be my first time reading a colorwork chart, so I’m excited to try that out! Have you worked colorwork following a chart before?
.
How gorgeous is this thick and thin yarn? @knitcollage has some of the most stunning and unique yarns I’ve ever seen, and these ones are their scrumptious “Sister” yarn ✨ I can’t wait to wear this amazing sweater coat 😍 Adding more and more handmade pieces to my wardrobe is so much fun! #knitcollagekal

Does this triangle scarf wrap look familiar? It’s my popular Boho Crochet Wrap worked up in my favorite worsted weight yarn: Heartland by @lionbrandyarn ! ✨ It has such gorgeous drape and feels sooo soft against the skin! It’s perfect for the fall and winter months, and I love just easily throwing it on before I leave the house 💖. The neutral color means it matches with everything, and since you wrap it around the neck without needing to pull it over your head, you don’t need to mess up your hairstyle 🙌🏻😆!
.
The Heartland Boho Crochet Wrap is fun to work up as you see the triangle grow, and it uses 3 skeins of yarn! Go check out the free pattern on the blog- who is going to make one? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Hey everyone! Thank you sooo much for you amazing feedback and encouragement about my Knit Enamel Pin Display Bag ❤️. I was astounded by the response it got and am so happy to hear that many of you are going to try this idea out 🤗! Here are some things I wanted to note:
🔸 Many of you asked about a crochet version, and I’ve written out what I would do if I were to crochet an enamel pin bag! I love the simple and classy look of single crochets worked in a round, and you can see how it would look in my pic shown here. You can also use my free Crochet Star Stitch Purse Pattern, although you would need to use one strand (holding two strands together is too thick)!
🔸 Some of you asked about the inside of the bag- my clear tote actually came with an inner zipper pouch that protects the contents of your bag and hands from getting poked by the backings of the pins! Swipe to see pics!
🔸 A follower messaged me and said they actually found my @forever21 bag in store 😱 I bought mine in mid-August but she showed a picture to the staff and they went to the back and found one on sale 🙌🏻. It doesn’t hurt to check if you love this specific bag I used!
🔸 I’ve been informed that this type of bag is called an “Itabag” and is popular in Japan- they usually have a display window to keep items safe and clean! ✨ I’ve compiled different Itabags (backpacks, totes and pouches) I found online in my blog post (swipe to see) so you can display your pins! I love the look of pins against a knitted or crocheted backdrop, so you could crochet or knit a flat panel and slip it into the display window. I don’t like poking holes in items, so the knit or crochet panel is great since you can move the pins around as much as you want, and you can add a handmade touch! The great thing about the bag I got is that it’s a 360 degree “display case” since I can put pins all around!

I am soooo excited to finally show you why I was collecting so many enamel pins....for my KNIT ENAMEL PIN DISPLAY BAG 😍💖✨. Clear bags have been very popular, and I thought it would be so clever to knit an interior lining to easily display all my pins! That way, I don’t have to worry about the pins getting damaged, scratched or lost as they are protected behind the clear surface and if they fall off, they fall into the bag 🙌🏻.
.
I used 24/7 Cotton by @lionbrandyarn for the knit interior with a crochet edging! Ryan helped me add these beautiful leather handles from @ikeacanada to help secure the knit bag into place, and the clear tote is from @forever21 ☺️. I’ve written an entire blog post and pattern about this passion project as I love having this unique way to display all my beautiful pins from talented artists locally and around the world (links to all the pins can be found in the post too)! 💗 Who else is an enamel pin collector?

When your favourite colour is pink, you make a pink cardigan 🎀💗👚🌸💕
.
I’ve been working on a bulkier version of my Midtown Cardigan for the past while, and it is absolutely flying off my needles! Think big, squishy stitches and relaxed, oversized sleeves that are all the rage this season! ☁️ If you want to take a peek at how my cardigan is looking, go check out my Instagram Stories 🤗. Who’s excited? {Yarn used: Color Made Easy (bulky level 5) by @lionbrandyarn in the gorgeous “Millennial” colourway 💖. Free pattern and kit coming in the future!}
