Stephanie  πŸ’• Lover of crochet, amigurumi & style ⭐️ Wife to an amazing man & Mama to 2 sweet girls πŸ™πŸ» Thankful to God each and everyday πŸ‘‡πŸ» Blog | #AllAboutAmi

I knitted up some Basic Baby Beanies recently (free pattern on my blog) and added some finishing touches, such as the pink poms and @Brickbubble garment tag! πŸ’• It was my first time using the cork garment tag and I LOVE how it looks! Many of you asked how I sew my garment tags onto my crochet and knit pieces, so I took some time to film myself sewing a cork label onto this beanie! Stay tuned for that video and blog post! πŸ™ŒπŸ»
ALSO, when making pom poms, it is crucial that you use sharp scissors! βœ‚οΈ My go-to sharp craft scissors are these beautiful ones by @warm_crochet , and I just got a new pair too (see what they look like on IG stories)! They've provided my readers with the code "ALLABO" for 10% off your scissors purchases!

The latest instalment in the Granite series is now on the blog: the GRANITE PONCHO! πŸ’• This stylish garment is very beginner-friendly as there is no increasing or decreasing and the Granite stitch is sooo easy and relaxing (great project to work on while watching tv or in the car since it doesn't require too much concentration)! πŸ™ŒπŸ» The turtleneck, cozy pockets, and alpaca blend yarn make it perfect for the transitional weather when you don't need a jacket but still need to stay warm!
Another styling tip is to cinch the poncho in at the waist with a skinny belt for more shape and definition- swipe to see a pic of how that looks! So cute, right? ❀️
The pattern and step by step blog post are on the blog! ✨ @LionBrandYarn has also put together a kit containing all the Touch of Alpaca yarn you need, and it's currently 20% off! Who's going to make themselves a poncho? πŸ™‹πŸ»Leave any comment below and I will randomly choose some winners and send them a concise PDF of this pattern!

It's been a year since we designed these Snuggle Bunny Pillows using @lionbrandyarn 's unique Fast-Track yarn! 🐰🐰 Who has this project on their hooks (I've been seeing tons of bunnies), on their to-make list, or has already made them? πŸ™‹πŸ» They make such kawaii additions to your home and are perfect for cuddling! πŸ’• The girls keep their bunny pillows in their rooms!
Free pattern & step-by-step tutorial are on my blog! There's also a kit available on the @lionbrandyarn website! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Ponchos evoke a sense of mystery and intrigue, wouldn't you agree? ✨ Who's ready to add a Crochet Poncho with absolutely no increasing or decreasing to their handmade wardrobes? Beginner-friendly pattern & step-by-step tutorial coming in a couple of days! πŸ’•

Here's a little video showing the making of my Snow Puff Ribbed Beanie! I love how Half Double Crochets worked in different loops can resemble the knitted stockinette stitch! πŸ’• You'll see how this beanie is constructed by seaming together the sides of a rectangle to form a tube, flipping up one end to create a double brim, and then single crocheting opposites ends to close up the top! πŸ™ŒπŸ»
Crocheting with two strands of yarn not only quickens the process (you can use a larger hook and achieve a bulkier look), but the colours blend so beautifully together too! The full video, free pattern and tutorial can be found on the blog ☺️ {Using New Basic 175 by @lionbrandyarn and my @CloverUSA Amour hook}

Here's a sneak peek of the latest instalment of our Granite Series: the Granite Poncho! ✨ I started making this way back in October and actually finished all the crocheting in December! It got put on the back burner as we focused on the Chinese New Year dogs, plus we wanted to add chic fabric pockets!
We love mixing different materials together, and I think the fabric pockets and statement buttons are such a cute touch, don't you? πŸ’• And if you didn't know already, Ryan @gunpla_enthusiast is a man of many talents- he actually hemmed the fabric pockets and created the button holes with a sewing machine (this was our first time sewing a button hole)! You can check out my IG stories to see some pics and videos! I'm working on the step-by-step blog post and pattern now, and I can't wait to show you more pics next week πŸ€— There will be a kit on sale with all the Touch of Alpaca by @lionbrandyarn that you'll need to crochet your own poncho too!

I'm sooo excited to show you my matching Snow Puff Ribbed Beanie & Scarf Set! πŸ’• Both crochet patterns are on the blog now and they work up very quickly with an 8 mm hook while holding two different colours of New Basic 175 together β˜ΊοΈπŸ™ŒπŸ». The beautiful ribbing is achieved with half double crochets in different loops, and the beanie is sturdy and warm with its double brim! ✨ You can add faux fur pom poms (mine are handmade by @kozykomforts ) or make your own yarn pom poms!
@LionBrandYarn has put together a kit so you can get all the yarn you need to make the beanie, scarf, and yarn pom poms, and it's currently 20% off! βšͺ️βšͺ️
Let me know what colours YOU would use together and I will randomly choose some winners and send you the concise PDF that contains both patterns (giveaway now closed)! I used pink & white, but I also think grey & white or black & white would be so stunning! πŸ–€

I'm slowly building up my cute enamel pin collection! πŸ’• Is anyone else collecting pins? I am loving all yarn-related pins and you know I HAD to get that bubble tea pin as soon as I saw it since I LOVE bubble tea β˜ΊοΈπŸ™ŒπŸ». Who are some of your favourite shops and makers who make pins? Let me know in the comments below!

I couldn't resist sharing another sneak peek of the crocheted scarf I've been working on!!! πŸ’– It's so whimsical with the blend of pink and white and the gorgeous faux fur pom poms by @kozykomforts on either end! It's a generous size and incredibly warm since it wraps around twice! The free pattern will be up next week....AND there's a matching item that goes with it πŸ˜‰ @LionBrandYarn will be putting together a kit so you'll have all the New Basic 175 yarn you need to make the set, so stay tuned ✨

I've written up the pattern for the "Child Puff Stitch Cowl" that I crocheted for Brielle on the blog! Isn't it so pretty? πŸ’• It uses only one skein of the new "Feels Like Butta" yarn by @lionbrandyarn and it is sooo soft against the skin! It's perfect for children's items since it doesn't fuzz up and is fully machine washable!
Feels Like Butta is currently on sale for $3.99 a skein right now- check out my post and snag some buttery soft yarn for yourself! Cute knitting kitty pouch is by @momomintsshop 🐱

My third article for Simply Crochet can be found in Issue 68 which comes with an Easter Egg kit too! 🌷 In this edition of "Stephanie's Journal", I talk about continually challenging yourself to learn new techniques, try projects outside your comfort zone, and expanding into new areas of crochet! ✨
Growing up, I remember being so incredibly excited whenever I flipped through a magazine and saw an Asian face as there were not many people in the media or magazines who looked like me! πŸ‘©πŸ» It’s still surreal to me that our designs and pictures can be found on newsstands and that people might glean some inspiration from us! πŸ’• Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your crochet journey, everyone!
