🌿CLEAN EATING TIPS:🌿
1️⃣ Keep it whole - Stick with foods that occur in nature & don’t require flashy packaging with a long list of ingredients.
2️⃣ Experiment with home cooking - Start simple. If you rarely cook at home, commit to cooking one day out of the week, making enough to last you a couple days.
3️⃣ Limit refined carbs - This includes all standard desserts containing white sugar as well as refined grains (like white rice) and foods containing white flour (like pasta, pastries, and bread).
4️⃣ Maintain consistent eating times & try not to skip meals - Keeping blood sugar level stable greatly contributes to healthy food choices throughout your day. Waiting too long between meals or eating processed foods cause a spike in blood sugar- leading to a crash in energy - making you more likely to reach for foods high in sugar, fat, or caffeine to keep your energy up.
5️⃣ Balance your plate- You should aim to get protein, carbohydrates, and fat at every meal. This will create optimal blood sugar levels and may stave off cravings and brain fog.
