My 9 year old ( with enormous feet for a 9 year old) agreed to be a sock model but then decided these socks needed to be his and refused to take them off. Oh well. Cute sock yarn kit from @gregoriafibers
It is that relentless, exhausting, “my tired brain is full and about to implode” time of year again and we have escaped for a few days to the quiet bay where I spent my own childhood holidays. School has finished for the year. Now there will be swimming, bike riding, reading, sleeping, crafting and wine. Then we will be ready to face the Christmas crazy.
It’s that time of year again... my kids finish school in 3 days ( 😱 where has the year gone?!) and I’ve left it to the last weekend to organise teacher gifts. Keeping it simple this year with reversible/reusable shopping bags - you can’t have too many shopping bags, right?! These whip up in a flash.
I made a party frock! This #kielowrapdress is so clever. It really is just another linen sack (my favourite thing to wear) but the ties elevate it to being party worthy. I sized up 1 size as I used woven instead of knit fabric and shortened it - managed to make it from only 2 metres of linen from @wearethefabricstore
How good are these colours of #wishboneyarn purchased from @handmakecreate ? I’m getting organised early for our family Xmas knitalong this year. These will be gifted to my sister and aunt (and me!) and (hopefully) transformed into a gorgeous shawl by Xmas 2019. I better get cracking on the 2018 project 😳
My physio has banned me from running over the past few weeks due to a niggling hip injury. I have missed the sunrises, the chatting with my running buddies and chance to clear my head each morning... so I did a sneaky 5km today. No regrets. #donttellmyphysio
Lucky me. My clever friend @rosierufflestherules has learnt to spin recently and gifted me this treasure. 124m of beautiful and surprisingly soft Victorian Gotland, worsted/Aran weight. Any ideas/ pattern suggestions?
