I want to thank Cory for two things: first, bringing me out to Colorado in 2016 to hike a few #14er like Mount Sherman, but also to know when to call it quits; after 3 hours of fighting against freezing morning winds and trudging through deeper and deeper snow, he told me that we’re getting too deep (no pun intended). We turned around, already satisfied by the views we got over the valley. The next day we found an avalanche had occurred where we were at. Mt. Sherman in February was an exercise in humility, but most of all the ability to let things go - so we can do even more of it in our life at the right time and day. Can’t do much more hiking when buried six feet under snow.
