I gained 70 pounds in one year. I was one of those guys who said I ate a lot and could never gain weight. In reality, I wasn't eating nearly enough to maintain my 130 lb physique, let alone gain. I would never go back to my skinny self. You gain an incredible amount of size, confidence, and mental fortitude through strength training. Without it my life would suck.
I started with a 100 pound squat, 135 deadlift, 65 press, and 85 bench press. The last time I got under a bar I had 300 pounds on my back for sets of 5.
