Back in Boston after an amazing long weekend in DC and Bethany Beach. I got to see a lot of good friends, catch up, and spend time in the city I called my home for five years. When I’ve had more than four hours of sleep, I will post photos and videos. As grateful as I am for my vacation, I’ve come to the realization that I can’t go back. Not anymore. Once I leave a place, I leave it behind. It’s what I’ve been doing my whole life. I left my home state after birth, I left North Carolina once my family moved on, and I left Brussels once I got my degree. I’ve held onto DC for the relationships I formed during my time there, but every time I go back I remember why I left in the first place. So this weekend will be it for a long time. Indefinitely. My best friends will understand and still love me. And I look forward to y’all visiting me in Boston or taking fun weekend trips elsewhere. Xoxo . . .
