When photography is your job, and your passion, you're taking photos all the time.
.
Trouble is, it's hard to find the time to work on images you're not being paid to work on.
.
There are so many travel photos that I've never taken the time to look at! So many great memories that I need to spend a month (or two) just to sort through. Maybe when I'm old and grey, with nothing to do. But hopefully sooner than that.
.
Here is an image of Zeva, while we were in Maryland. She's such a majestic beast. Images don't do her justice. @zevagramz

Leaving them home is always a challenge.
.
I usually fail.

Squirrel patrol.
.
Never has there ever been a creature more majestic. @zevagramz

Guatemala does doors well.

Missing my dude right now.
.
It's been a rocky last couple of days. After eating the wrong street food on Tuesday, I spent most of the overnight in the bathroom, and all of the next day in bed. Happy to report it was just a 24hr bug.
.
Flying into Houston on Friday to shoot my good buddy's wedding on Saturday (@robrunnels woot! 🙌).
.
Then back to Austin on Sunday to pick up the Sidster. If he doesn't act excited to see me, I'll probably die. 😵

Day 9 of 18 and my brand new @canonusa won't work. It's a very troubling feeling to know that, what I would consider to be an extension of my arm, is no longer available for use.
.
It's disappointing, and I'm hoping they do something to remedy the situation. I guess I'm an iPhonographer for the rest of the trip. And maybe a Sony shooter when I return...

(Rotate image) NYE in Antigua. It's been non stop fireworks since we arrived on Christmas. Guatemalans love to blow stuff up.

Day 5 in Guatemala. Rooftop dinners by candlelight. Views of volcanos and a setting . So far so good.
.
Spending NYE at the @earthlodgeguatemala before heading to Lake Atitlan. So many photos to share!

Our home for the night.
.
Currently outside Antigua in Guatemala at a beautiful Hostel called Earth Lodge. The views are insane and the weather is perfect. It's going to be hard to leave here.

Leaving on an adventure soon, sans one adventure dog. It's hard to leave him at home, but I know he prefers it over a long drive in the car.
.
Tomorrow, we'll be at ABGB doing pet portraits from 1-5pm if anyone wants to come and give Sid a head pat before we leave.
.
Also, bring your dog. ✌️

Guys, some things:
.
Yesterday, I shot a wedding in the rain. It was v cold, but wonderful. When the rain wasn't falling, the overcast skies created wonderfully even and moody lighting, aka, a photographers dream!
.
Another thing: @m.cheka and I be traveling later this month. First, a road trip to Maryland for Christmas, then flying to Guatemala on Christmas Day. We'll have a little over two weeks to be there. Plz shower me with recommendations of places to go and things to eat!
.
Last thing: I have a really fun project I'll be sharing in January. A project which could use the support from my community. I'll be starting a @patreon account and hopefully I will get some cool folks to check me out on there.
.
My upcoming trip will be shared on that platform almost exclusively. Hopefully you can relate to my mission once it's announced. .
Spoiler Alert - it's dog related... 😊

Yesterday, I went on a kayaking adventure with, among other people, this corgi. @byadv
.
Her name is Chewy. She isn't much of a guide, but she was fun to look at.
.
I had an extraordinarily difficult time deciding which photo to post on @ZilkerBark for #puppydogmondays. This photo was the runner up, and I couldn't help but share it! So, if you follow both accounts, you get two Corgis on your feed today. ✌️️
.
In other news, @myregalbeagle broke 100k followers (woot), and although I'm pretty most of the last 5k were fake accounts, it's still a pretty cool thing to see.
.
Like watching a car's odometer move to 6 figures. Yay, Sid! 🐶👍
