The picture on the left is my back in April 2015.
I post this to highlight some points.
It's never too late to give a shit about your physique or health. You can make dramatic changes in the space of months.
I used to be part of a mass of people who thought being skinny was beautiful. Though I was skinny it didn't make me feel good or healthy or happy with how I looked. I was malnourished in body and mind, shapeless, aching from lack of exercise to the point that doctors diagnosed me with fibromyalgia.
So I decided to take charge. I started doing yoga 40 mins a day 5 days a week, eating more healthy during the week at least.
So many people make assumptions about me.. think I always looked the way I do now, that I always had it easy, ready to negatively label me, my motives and my expectations based on how I look today.
I feel confident now because I went out and I worked on me, mentally and physically...learned to bring out more of my potential and there's not a day I've ever regretted making these changes in my life, even if how people view and treat me is very different and at times derogatory.
My main point I guess is never judge a book by it's cover. You never know someone's journey.
And if you are judging outwards, it's time you start to look inwards and ask yourself why? What insecurity are you projecting? What is it that you are unhappy with in yourself?
Then it's time to get off your ass and make the necessary changes in your life, in whatever way you need, to feel more fulfilled, more happy in you.
You can change your life but no one else can do it for you.... "You will never win, if you never begin" ~Helen Rowland
