When I was younger, I simply did not have access to experienced mentors. I made mistakes that were so stupid that cost me my hard earned money and my valuable time.
Also, when I was younger, I thought I could just figure things out my own way. I had a problem with authority and with people telling me what to do. I figured I could figure out the best way for me to succeed.
Boy was I wrong and boy was I stupid.
You don’t know what you don’t know.
Today, every single time I have a phone call with somebody new, they are astonished at the outcome of the call. The clarity they receive. The affirmations sometimes. I could speak with somebody who is years ahead of me in life and the journey and always learn something new. And all I need is one new thing to realize that I will never know it all and the best way to learn is by talking to people who have been there and done it.
I say to people all the time:
I am not young enough to know everything.
