Morning Routine! ☀️ I confess that the answer to your question of my morning routine is on most days non-existent. Usually, my mornings tend to be topsy-turvy. Hitting the snooze button for the third time before rolling out of bed, having a fit because I didn’t get any sleep the night prior, or suffering a small panic attack because I forgot to set the alarm(s) are all descriptions of what my morning reality looks like before rushing out the door and headed to morning practice. When I do get back home, I make myself breakfast and go straight to bed to finish my 💤 if I am able. Only then can I say that I am prepared to start my day (more like afternoon)…now coffee please!

A morning routine to me is a time where one finds sanity before they start the day. It is a time of reflection, taking steps in being more in control of one’s self, and self-improvement. Although I am clearly not a morning person, I do have a night routine.
After the 7:30pm practice and daily stop at Publix, I have a long hot shower or an Epsom salt bath to cleanse and unwind from a hard day of training. I eat or prepare a meal with my teammates, Talina and James, and we have a “family night” with an episode from a Netflix series or most recent reality show that Talina has recorded. Hehe I try to remind myself of taking my multivitamin and iron (doc’s orders) and never forget to slap loads of oils and anti-aging creams on my face before putting myself to bed. 💁🏽‍♀️ At night I am “in my feelings”. Night time is my part of the day to think, reflect, and talk with God. I talk about the good moments of my day or I express my personal frustrations. In the end, I always try to end my nights with a clear mind. Positivity, music, helpful quotes on social media, Pinterest, & reading my daily devotional help prepare myself for the night & following day. I thank God for my existence & remind myself of why I do what I do. Most importantly, I find a way to accept, & thank Him for my struggles. “For without rain, how can a flower bloom?” xo,
