I had a pretty amazing moment yesterday that I wanted to share. In 2010 I was given the opportunity to DJ inside the Westside club at @theoaklandcoliseum for @Raiders home games with @HennessyUS. Win, Lose or tie the club was always POPPIN! Before the crowd would get there, families, staff and early birds would enjoy breakfast and watch the early games while I played for a few hours before kickoff. This young lady (maybe 4 year old) was intrigued by the turntables so I offered her family to take a pic. Through the years I would see them in the stadium and just wave hello.
Now in 2017 as my 4th year as in game hype man for the #Raiders, I see the Dad who happens to also live in San Diego and also travels to every home game. His family is on my flight, I’m looking around them asking myself “where is his little girl?”, he taps her on the shoulder and tells her I am in line behind them. She turned with the biggest smile and ran to me like I was her long lost uncle.
She’s a smart young lady who loves school and loves her team just like I did at her age. It was around 11 years old when I became a Raiders fan when I met WR Dokie Williams after the team just won a Super Bowl. I just wanted to share this moment... it made me feel proud AND OLD at the same time 😂😂😂 #RaiderNation #RN4L @NFL #Raiders #iHeartMyJob #FootballisFamily
