My friend @micah5326 and his team @heroesandhorses just launched their new film “500 Miles.” I wasn’t a part of the making of the film, but Micah asked our team to create supplementary pieces called, “What’s Your 500?” Their purpose is to amplify his belief that the principles of the program and the messages in the film are something every person, not just veterans, can apply to their lives. .
So we sat down with people from all walks of life and asked them to share their stories in the form of letters, written to those who have helped them or to those they’ve lost. It was an incredible dose of perspective on the real hardships life has to offer. All of the letter readings were excellent examples of suffering, courage and hope and I’m grateful at the opportunity to have shared a room with such brave people. You can watch these shorts through the link in my profile > @agoplen The first one is Mike’s, and as a new father of a daughter, his impacted me the most.
And be sure to check out the full film “500 Miles”. It’s awesome.
