and this is the stuff of what become some of the most treasured moments in my life.
the just simple doing life with others.
in their routine, their mess, their every-day, their ordinary.
it’s in those bits of living that i find the most beauty.
the things that make up the most meaningful inspiration and needed motivation.
it’s where all of the good and real and raw art truly can be found.
granted todays was in a beautiful England town half a world away, but i have had these experiences enough times to realize that finding that kind of magic is rarely about the place so much as the people in it.
i won’t be able to adequately express the admiration and love i have for @siobhanwatts in a silly instagram post, but i want to share at least this little bit of thought. because it’s these types of happenstances that make up the goodness in the world and we need to be more open to experiencing them. because there is so much joy that can be found when we lay aside our insecurities and fears and open ourselves to the world and the many beautiful people in it.
because she is a virtual friend of nearly eight years (through our blogs, before instagram was even a thing) turned real-life friend only at the beginning of this year. and though this is only the second meeting and spending time together in person, i knew after the first moment of us seeing and hugging one another that this would be one of those friendships that was just an understood and given thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
the post yoga-dancing with her two year old in the kitchen and losing-track-of-time four hour conversation over the dinner table, among many other simple and sweet things of today, result in my feeling that if this trip ended right here and i went home... i would be content.
my heart is so full, and yet i know it can get fuller because that is just the nature of the goodness of life.
there is always more joy to be found if you just choose to seek it.
