Has anyone's else set their quads on fire? πŸ”₯πŸ”₯. . .

After this flow I took a quick shower and run to work. Only few hours later when walking downstairs I felt like going "ouch" with every single step. I think those lowers to Thunderbolt did the harm. .

I'm definitely taking this weekend off Carmen's challenge practice, not because I am lazy, but I'm too busy and won't have any time for this hard work. And if my legs are that bad in the morning I may also take a break tomorrow and have a massive catch up on Monday. . .

Talking about today's asana - it was so hard... I go into panic mode, I feel trapped and no matter how much I try to calm my mind and slow my breath and tell myself it's only a walk down the door and I can take all time in the world, I still go crazy. I start breathing fast and want to get out asap... I haven't practiced it in so long it got really bad. Just can't find any space to rest and relax in this Backbend, it's hard and uncomfortable from the start to the very end. . .

Today it was slightly better day for my shoulders and twists, I got interlock on both sides πŸ™ŒπŸ». .

But by the time our pose of the day came around my legs were shaking and I was hot and sweaty and tired. The only thing that was getting close to my feet was my butt! Sad but true. .

I tried Thunderbolt 4 times in video and another 3 times taking photos. I really tried to go slow and hang there, but I'm far far faaar from that point... I don't want to compromise my lumbar,so to avoid compression there my legs got to give in and I don't have my hips high at all. I don't know if that pose will ever be part of my practice. It's one of those super bendy asanas for super bendy people. . .

I belong to naturally stiff AF branch of yogis, so this is me doing incredibly well considering. .

I even gave myself pat on the sweaty shoulder after I finished the whole flow. Although I don't know why the twists have became increasingly difficult over last few days and I couldn't find my interlock today either. 😒 .

It's a little disappointing, but I'm trying to keep the spirit up and hope it will come back. ❀️. .

I'm so deep in Carmen's challenge and daily practice of this mega demanding for my body flow that I really have to cut corners on everything else. .

I was wiped out and you can clearly see struggle here. I'm happy with my half tuck presses, I even got one full tuck press but lost it at the top, just didn't have enough in me to fight for that balance. .

The toe tap puppy press was not happening, it was last thing I tried and I was totally out of juice. .
