Ok so let’s talk preworkout supplements, You’ve had a long tiring day of work, school, organizing your children for school or all of the above, but still have to hit the gym/workout and you just feel so drained and don’t know if you have it in you...this is where a preworkout can come in as it(usually) has a couple things to help with this:
1. Caffeine: I don’t think I need to ellaborate much on what caffeine is because majority of us already know, but for those that don’t, caffeine is a stimulant to sum it up, it helps provide you with that much needed boost of energy when dosed correctly.
2. Creatine(In some of them): In a nutshell this helps to maintain your energy release and recovery between sets as you workout by turning your ADP back into ATP.
3. Beta-Alanine: This helps to prolong that lactic acid burn you feel when you workout, therefore you can go for longer.
4. L-Citrulline: Converts to L-Arginine in the kidneys which helps with the production of nitric-oxide...aka better blood flow to your muscle and added vascularity to give you that pumped look.
•All in all these things combined into one supplement gives you that sometimes much needed kick to get you going and keep you going during your workout.

Whey protein! What's it is, what it's for, and should invest in it!
•What is it?- Whey protein is a one of the two proteins found in milk, the other being casein(a supplement for another post)
•What's it for?- Whey being a supplement, is to be used to do just that... supplement your whole food diet in order to meet your daily protein intake and caloric requirements. It is by no means an absolute necessity, you can meet the recommended protein intake from your diet, whey just makes it a bit easier. Whey is also absorbed faster than any other form of protein & delivers a large amount of the amino acid L-cysteine, which can alleviate deficiencies that occur during aging and diabetes, as well as other conditions.
•Should you invest in Whey?- If you are finding it hard to meet your recommended daily protein requirements through your diet or don't have time to eat just after a workout, it's very convenient to just throw a scoop or two of whey in a shaker and easily get 40-50g of protein, even with breakfast if you don't have time to eat a full meal...throw some whey in the blender with some oats and a couple other ingredients and you easily have a high protein morning shake to start your day.
It's definitely a supplement I'd recommend👌

Round two of this 305...moved a hell of a lot smoother this time around even though the warmup sets felt like trash...last Wednesday this felt like hell...did a little less warm up sets this time to save some energy, then backed off to 250 5x5 and finished my chest/shoulder/tricep workout...I’m ecstatic!

Look alive! Fun fact: not everyday you're gonna feel motivated and ready to get stuff done...alot of the times you're gonna be tired..sore... or generally demotivated. But, these are often the times that when you push through....it feels even better, just from knowing that you were strong enough to still do what you needed to do, so on your better days it you know it'll be a breeze 🍃
-And this applies to all aspects of life...work..the gym... school etc. Just push through and do what needs to be done!
