Charlotte and Heather  🐶: Charlotte 🧘🏻‍♀️: Heather A rescued brittany (spaniel) and her human, the yogi, explore the outdoors. 💜 This is our story 💜

Their beg game is strong. ✨ These two would like to tell you about a #cleartheshelters event here in Las Vegas. It’s a national event, so if you don’t live in Las Vegas, check your local shelter to see if they’re participating. This Saturday, August 18, The Animal Foundation is offering free adoption on all animals (dogs, cats, and small animals like rabbits). If you’ve been wanting to open up your home to a forever friend, this would be the perfect time! The free adoption event will be held at two locations, the main campus at 655 North Mojave Road in Las Vegas and their adoption center at the PetSmart at 286 W. Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson. The event is 8am - 5pm. 🐶 Rescuing Charlotte was the best decision I ever made. She agrees. 😉 xo 💕

In case you need a pick-me-up. You can’t get much cuter than a dog napping in a hammock. She’s an expert at living in the moment. xo 💕

Can I just be honest and say the last few weeks have been a struggle? Inching into waking up long before dawn, feeling like this is so not it for me, wondering what to do next. Sometimes life is like that. Change is hard, and choosing not to settle is harder. But what’s there to do? Keep on keeping on, I suppose. xo 💕

The JuneBug in her element. xo 💕

When she smiles, I smile. xo 💕

The night before, it rained all night. It’s one of my favorite sounds, rain pouring on the roof. It’s hard to think of much else, hard to feel stressed or rushed by life. Time just stops as you listen. An unintentional meditation. ✨ I’m pretty sure rain has this effect on me because it almost never rains in Vegas. It’s monsoon season, and it’s still not raining. I see the storms brewing in the mountains around us nearly every day lately, yet it almost never touches the valley. ✨ I officially need more nights like this. xo 💕

It was a bit like a magical fairyland 🧚‍♂️. And to be honest, we want to go back. xo 💕

Charlotte’s tip for a little R&R: always bring a hammock when traveling. And, you’re welcome. xo 💕

The joy of stumbling upon a wild sunflower field. Georgia was a favorite for sure. xo 💕

🎵“Yeah, way down yonder on the Chattahoochee;
Never knew how much that muddy water meant to me.
But I learned how to swim,
and I learned who I was;
A lot about livin' and a little 'bout love.” 🎶
That might be the only country song I’ve ever known words to. I must’ve been a freshman in high school when that came out, a lifetime ago. I had one friend that listened to country music, and I do believe this song played on repeat on the country music channel when I was at her house. And who knew the Chattahoochee was real?! So of course, we had to visit while in Atlanta. Drizzling rain, low clouds, warm air, muddy water. It felt like a jungle at that river bank, and it was perfection. xo 💕

She’s our water baby. Wisdom from Juniper: there’s little in life that can’t be solved with a good swim. xo 💕

Morning sun in New Mexico. xo 💕
