On the Cover this time is our engineering star Parichay Dutta, for whom aviation is a family business. As IndiGo's Associate Director, Engineering (Line Maintenance) he's following in the footsteps of his father and his grandfather, a military pilot and an aircraft engineer respectively. PD, as most people know him, embraces the challenge of making sure each and every aircraft is fit to fly. And when he's not working, you can find this keen biker and sportsman burning up the squash court or diving in the deep sea.

This July, we're celebrating business of travel on the cover of #Hello6E. As we keep India moving, many more of us are crisscrossing the land for business and better opportunities. Here's to all those taking to the skies. #BusinessOnOurMind Photo Credit: @ashishchawlaphotography

"Why do we love the sea? Because it has the potent power to make us think things we like to think" - Robert Henri (1865-1929) | There is truly a mysterious power about the sea. It's intimidating at first with its vast expanse and the rough waves. And yet it holds such secrets that we feel compelled to explore. The dark waters hide treasures. The choppy waters toss you around. And yet all it asks you to do is to accept the direction of the wind ... to surrender and not to conquer ... to explore and not to acquire! A book with endless chapters for the curious mind #thoughts #opensea #ocean #openocean #explore #discover #windowsofyourmind #life #bookoflife #curiosity

That's one helluva view from the lunch table! If you are there you must try at the amazing seafood paela at the #cheztino restaurant ... Looks unimpressive ... we missed it as we drove past it and then came back in search for the place! Totally worth it! #bluesky #emeraldwaters #beachside #vacation #lunch #wintersun #tropicalsun #mauritius

What's more Indian than garma garam #Chai with steaming hot #pakoras and #paranthas by the side of the road when it's pouring like crazy and there is that cold nip in the air?! πŸ˜€ People from British India first arrived in Mauritius to work as indentured labourers, commonly referred to as coolies, that were intended to work in sugarcane fields. Indentured laborers were mostly brought from the state of Bihar, with a large number of Tamiland Telugu people amongst them. By 1838, 25,000 Indian labourers had been shipped to Mauritius. The Indian indenture system was an ongoing system of indenture, a form of debt bondage, by which 3.5 million Indians were transported to various colonies of European powers to provide labour for the (mainly sugar) plantations. It started from the end of slavery in 1833 and continued until 1920. This resulted in the development of large Indian diaspora, which spread across the Indian Ocean and also Surinam and Fiji and Guyana. Between 1842 and 1870 a total of 350 thousand Indians went to Mauritius. They were called Girmitias ... a twist to the word "Agreement" for their bonded labour. Mauritians have mostly lost touch with their original mother tongue and speak either French or Mauritian Creole. But they are still very religious and so you see temples all over the island. You see them in typical Indian clothes and so feels even more strange when everyone speaks to you in French! 😊 And as you can see, they have certainly hung on to the tradition of Pakoras in the rain! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ#mauritius #Indian #diaspora

There are probably few spots as beautiful and relaxing as this pristine beach on the uninhabited island of Ilot Gabriel, about ten miles into the open ocean off the extreme Northern coast of Mauritius. You travel the rough dark emerald waters past the imposing huge whale like Mountain called Gunner's Quoin in the middle of the ocean with sea gulls for company. I am more of a mountain person than a beach person but this does take your breath away! Why mountain over beach? Because the warm thick jackets hide the fat better than the swimming trunks! πŸ˜‚ #nofilter #nature #mauritius #beach #island
