Ending the Waxman and Friends dinner with a little champagne! Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting @chefscollaborative!

Thanks to @bouquet519 and team for hosting the final dinner after my two-day beef butchering workshop at #midwestculinaryinstitute. Such a wonderful crew of folks helped put on the event and this 5-course meal was the perfect punctuation, showcasing #local producers in a really seamless and beautiful way. A restaurant that is truly raising the bar with creativity, seasonality, sourcing, and hospitality. Warm and talented folks, they are. So much #gratitude.
And on top of that, they co-chair the @chefscollaborative local chapter with @tobikko44. Hard working to boot!

@sottocincy is the only restaurant I’ve been to that has a temperature and humidity controlled room to make #pasta in. And that’s just one of the many amazing features to this subterranean land of deliciousness. Thanks to @dannycombs and @c.e.dubois for hosting a group that seemed to have a ceaseless interest in trying any flavors in the house. And to the staff for cooking late night after-hours to allow us to nosh in such style.

And congrats to @zaichik13 and @kachkapdx on the @beardfoundation nomination today! One of my favorites restaurants in #Portland and a wonderful way to challenge the stigmas about #Russian food.

March 31st - For the second year, award-winning Kachka Chef Bonnie Morales has teamed up with music teacher and Jewish/food justice activist Hannah Treuhaft for a Kachka Seder — at The Nightwood Society.
Bonnie and our own @princesspantalones will create a magical old-world- meets-new take on the classic Seder meal, with plenty of nods to the coming spring. Treuhaft will lead diners in a traditionally-inspired- yet-wholly- modern community Seder — retelling the story of the Israelites’ exodus from slavery in Egypt, reflecting on its modern implications, and coming together to explore some of the larger questions in our hearts (and drink some vodka).
This event is open to all: Those who grew up with traditional Jewish Seders, fans of Kachka looking for a bit of ritual with their horseradish, and pretty much anyone in need of a little metaphorical rebirth after a long cold winter.
Doors and bar open at 5:30 pm, Seder begins promptly at 6:00 pm. Seats limited - Link in profile ✌🏼

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for #Moxie as her first big concert. @lordemusic is an ideal role model for a smart, independent young girl. Her live show is sophisticated, well-designed, and thought-provoking. Her voice is perfect in person and she can transform an arena into an intimate gathering. I was so impressed . . . and so happy for the memories.
