Emmanuel’s adoptive Mum. The woman who promised her friend to take care of her only son, despite the fact that her husband was late.

This year has been so good so far! Archive from my Imo series #thankyoulord

Trying to plan a trip for this year, let see if a miracle is going happen 😣

When I was younger I used to be scared of my mum; she’s a woman with a very strong personality. I remember whenever we used to go out to an event, everyone could feel her presence, and a lot of people respected her even men were afraid of her lool. I think the only time I saw her weakness was when she suffered from partial Stroke she was at the hospital for more than a month. I got scared because I didn’t know what was going to happen, but luckily she survived it. My mum and I have different personalities, but I profoundly admire her knowing what she went through and the sacrifices she made.

Happy international women's day!
I'd like to dedicate this post to all the women out there. Although we have come so far thanks to our predecessors, who fought for our rights. I still think we have a long way to go. We shouldn't forget that there are so many women who don't have the privilege of freedom. My thoughts and prayers go to those women let us keep fighting for thier freedom as they did in the past, and hopefully one day things are going to change for good. #internationalwomensday

I was a bit hesitant on uploading this picture, but here we are. This is a portrait from my ongoing project. Irene got married at the age of 12, lost her husband at a very young age. Left alone to take care of her 7 children without any help from her in-laws or the government. Forced to marry her daughters at a very young age, because she couldn’t take care of them. Irene is not the only one forced to marry her daughters at a very young age. They are many Widows who suffer the same faith as Irene did, and they are pleading the Nigerian government to help.

Contemplating about what I’m going to eat tonight, and reading Americanah by Chimamanda. Self portrait for @commonmuseco

The one and only @tracysada check out her music ✨

They say lily has a lot of meaning, but also symbolises hope and growth. This is our time to shine and make things happen. Never loose hope in whatever you are doing. Never let anyone disrespect or discourage you. Always believe in yourself. Is time for women to come out of from their shadows.
