ACT UP NY  ACT UP NY is a diverse non-partisan group of individuals united in anger and committed to direct action to end the AIDS crisis.

More from the #SaveRivington action this past Wednesday! Thank you to all who showed up in solidarity.

29 years later, the fight to secure and protect HIV housing and long-term survivors continues. #SaveRivington

PICTURED (1989): ACT UP’s Housing Committee protested the federal and local responses to the lack of housing for homeless people with AIDS. Even at the time, Donald Trump was targeted for corporate and housing greed. He received a $6.2 million tax abatement for Trump Tower, money that could have gone to HIV/AIDS housing.
TODAY in 2018, we are fighting the same housing greed that closed Rivington House, one of the largest and last HIV/AIDS housing facilities. An agency that Mayor DeBlasio helped close. Don’t let condominiums replace HIV/AIDS housing. Protect all long-term survivors. Join us today at 4 PM at the Rivington House site. #SaveRivington

MEETING TONIGHT: Join us tonight at the LGBT Center (208 W 13th Street) for our weekly meeting at 7:00 PM

A major victory for @actupny. Check out an updated description for David Wojnarowicz’s “Untitled (ACT UP)”.

Our #AIDSIsntHistory protest at the @whitneymuseum part 2. We told visitors to revisit the crisis and learn about current HIV work.

Couldn’t join us this past Friday at the #AIDSIsntHistory protest at the @whitneymuseum? This Saturday, 8/4 at 4:30 PM, join us. Please share and RSVP. (link in bio)

ACTION ALERT: Rivington House, one of the last standing HIV/AIDS housing facilities for long-term survivors closed in August 2015 due to housing greed. Join us on August 8 at 4 PM, to save it. #SaveRivington

Throwback to our #WakeUpWyckoff action two weeks ago where we called out hospitals with HIV discrimination cases.

Yesterday, we had a pop-up protest at the @whitneymuseum to remind them that AIDS isn’t history. That if they exhibit artists that have died of AIDS they must have current HIV literature and programming. Each placard held had an article from 2018 to highlight where we stand in the crisis. #AIDSIsntHistory.

#OnThisDay, the @nytimes published this in the early stages of the AIDS crisis. A little over 5 years later ACT UP was formed. We remember.

ACT UP is here and queer to protect HIV+ undocumented immigrants and mourning the loss of all HIV+ folks who died in ICE custody. Join us in solidarity. #FamilesBelongTogetherMarch
