It’s been a great start to the month @activebodycon beginning with the first ever hero games ran by @helenwillers1980@ethan_jonespt. Strength club has started well and is looking to develop further with November’s strongman competition happening at ABC. Boxercise has some exciting new things coming soon.
@jackdoyle.pt bootcamp has started great also with results coming thick and fast.
And the original ABC metcon sessions continue to go from strength to strength with people improving week after week.
On a Friday evening ten minutes before closing whilst I was training young Thomas Fletcher, a ten year old footballer on one side of the gym, a tremendous mountain of a man was on the other side of the gym Adam Sabretooth Laverick training in preparation for his British powerlifting competition in Portsmouth in just over a weeks time.
Whilst Thomas was getting a brief rest from his impressive show of technique with his goblet squats he shouted over in awe to Adam asking how much he was lifting in amongst the heavy metal music.
It’s moments like this that really strike home just how amazing training no matter what discipline it’s in or no matter what goal it’s for really can be.
And it’s moments like this where I get reminded of the amazing people we have at ABC as I’m sure other places do also around the country.
A member such as Adam who with his heavy lifting and very strong frame sets an even better example of what being such a genuinely good person is.
Always on hand to give advice to people with genuine integrity, using his ounces of experience and knowledge.
Always encouraging and praising people’s achievements and epitomising the ethics of our facility.
