When it comes to working with @acromegan , i’ve always enjoyed the creativity that she has. Someone like her can be tough to find in life, but i’m grateful for every minute that I get to spend with her.

Acro tips:
Base: start off with your knees wide, Hands on the Flyers elbow. Make sure not to go over your stack to protect the flyer head. Extend your hips off the ground for the final pose.
Flyer: it’s good to have a nice backbend for this one 😉 Start off with stepping with one foot on the knee and then the other.
Use a spotter if needed. They should be standing by the side of the flyer, hands on the belly and back to keep them safe. .

I truly enjoy traveling, and looking forward to my next trip in couple of months. I have a pretty big tour lined up in May which I’ll tell you more about it soon. Here’s @teenie29 and I enjoying our time in Kauai, Hawaii. 🤙🏽

Acro tips:
Base: starting from chair, the handgrip should be reverse foot-to-hand grip (it helps to turn out the flyers foot) as well as reverse hand-to-hand grip. Think about keeping your stack to protect your joint.
Flyer: make sure you pay attention on how you’re pouring your weight into your bases lines. Move slow and grabbing the foot to hit the full extension. When ready to come out let go of the foot and bring the leg to the ground. 😉
Make sure to use a spotter standing by the side of the flyer, ready to catch if falling backwards. .

“I was 22 years old when I first tried yoga. How old were you? Most people don’t try yoga & meditation until they are adults – Let’s lower that number and bring yoga to kids around the world! .
Yoga was my gateway to acroyoga and AcroYoga has completely changed my world. Before yoga my life was long production hours and a loneliness to living in LA. Enter acro—offering me community, friendships, new flexibility, endless new skills, and a means to tap into my creativity. I’m hooked and I love spreading the joy.

That’s why I’m so happy to be a part of a movement that spreads the love and the practice. Today we/Alo launched Alo Gives, a nonprofit that is dedicated to bringing yoga & mindfulness to the world by providing a free curriculum of 5-minute videos to do in the classroom or at home helping to introduce mental & physical skills that are a part of social & emotional learning! . .

I haven’t posted a flow/washing machine in quite a while. But this is probably one of my favorite ones to base, it’s called 420 which @ladybase_ created it, definitely grateful that it exists. Also @teenie29 is one of the best flyer when it comes to washing machines and other fun pops! Hope you enjoy ✌🏽

Looking back at my trip with @teenie29 in Kauai, I’m extremely grateful for the experience. And with it being #internationalwomensday it’s a great time to shout out the many women I am extremely grateful to have in my life. This practice allows me to coach strong ladies, partner with others, and form beautiful friendships around the globe. .

Acro tips:
When it comes to basing it’s really important to make sure that flyer comfortable and confident. How well are you communicating to them, do they know how to fall out of the trick, do we need a spot, and how can you help build up their confidence. These are things that I’m constantly working on in my practice.
Hope this helps you guys. For this pose you should know how to get into twohigh before trying it out. One way to keep it safe is to sit as a base and let the flyer stand on your shoulder from there (build up to it). Use a spot behind the flyer hands on the hips.

Acro tips:
Base: it helps to start off in high flying whale. Hand placement should be close to the knee. When coming out of it bend the arms to bring the flyers feet to the ground.
Flyer: slowly reach for the bases thighs one hand at a time. It’s important to get into a backbend more than pushing your arms away, this will cause the base to lose their line. When coming out of it and try to bring your feet to the ground, it can and will be awkward.
Use a spotter standing by the side hands on the flyers belly and back. .

Kicking back and relaxing in Hawaii, I had an absolutely great time teaching with @teenie29 and our assistant at @wanderlustfest . Not only did I get to enjoy Hawaii for the first time, but it’s definitely a place I want to come back to soon. The land out here is absolutely gorgeous 🙌🏽🏔😍.

Acro tips:
Base: One hand on the butt and the other hand on the ankle (c-grip). Use your foot to help the flyer get into this pose. You want to stack the arm that’s on her butt over your shoulder.
Flyer: when sitting on this pose make sure to move slow. Use the other hand to hold onto the bases wrists if needed. When coming out of it bring the free leg down.
Make sure to use a spot standing behind the flyer hands around the hips, ready to catch if coming down. .

Acro tip:
Sometimes these poses Can be tricky and difficult to get into. But I honestly feel what’s important to me: are you having fun, is it safe and did you hit your goal. If so, you’re winning. 😉

Always enjoy working with you @nwoy her flexibility is truly fun to work with, she pretty much can do anything. — I am finally getting to Kauai today with @teenie29 .
Traveling is such a great practice of “letting go” of expectations, of plane schedules, of getting to a certain place at a certain time. Our Hawai’i trip has not gone to plan so far—but I got to see Waikiki beach, take a sunset walk, and sleep by the ocean. No complaints here 🤙🏽

.
Acro tips:
Base: make sure the foot that’s on the back bring it towards your center, flex the foot to help with the balance. Be ready to catch with your hands if needed to help the fly down.
Flyer: you want to make sure to take your time going into the Backbend. Engage the bottom leg to keep the balance as well as square the hips. Point your toes for style points. When coming out it’s important to move slow to not throw off the balance.
use a spotter standing by the back of the base hands on the flyers hips. Spotter make sure that the flyer doesn’t fall towards their head
