Today's little project. Aren't these mini jumping jacks the cutest!! (Pattern by @figtreeandco)

We just made the CUTEST valentines quilt with this month's Prints Charming & Inside Voices prints! I love that that bit of green! The video tutorial is on my YouTube channel & the patternlet with the circle and heart templates is just $1 in my shop!

Today is the day where over half of new year's resolutions meet their end. And I admit I have big plans, but lately I feel like I'm failing at all of them. Between my shop being understaffed, catching this year's nastiest bug & having all three of my kids in a tough stage, some days I just want to hide from everything and everyone. Balance is a myth IG tries to sell you but real life is made of choices and prioritizing and a lot of prayer. Just thought I'd share some real life thoughts and share that just because it's hard doesn't mean you really want to quit. Nothing worth having comes easy!

I'm dying over this amazing heart wall hanging @modernsewciety made with prints from our Liberty of London fabric club! Seriously, I think I need to copy this right now! (And there might be a coupon for our liberty club over in her caption... you know, maybe πŸ˜‰)

Having so much fun with @kelbysews on set today! Kelly is one of my favorite people and she now has her own quilting show! Check her feed for how you can learn from some of the best quilters in the industry!

Our Liberty club prints for 2017 are so, so, so good. Let us tempt you with the original Liberty Lawn club that just keeps getting better & better! (You can find out more at https://www.westwoodacresfabric.com/pages/liberty-tana-lawn-bundle-of-the-month-club)

Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch, you know I πŸ’— you! {can't help myself!} πŸ˜‚ thanks for the prettiest fabric with the cutest names (fabric is Sugar Pie by @lellaboutique and @modafabrics @modarosie - coming soon to my little shop!)

And that's 20 courthouse steps blocks done πŸ‘ŠπŸ» not too shabby for sick bed sewing. I think I'm going to leave the sashing off. It's gorgeous as it is and it will be as soft as a cloud. Wool batting + a liberty lawn backing will make this the most luscious, girly quilt ever! Here are directions (if you want them 😁): Grab assorted strips about 2-2.5" in width. I used Liberty and sewed from scraps, but they total Sew 3 strips together along the long edge, low volume-red-low volume. Chop into 2.5" pieces. Press. Alternate sewing pinks to either side. I just sew blocks into strips, then cut them apart, and press. Then add low volume strips to either side. T hen pink, then low volume, then pink. Press, square to 12.5" and sew into rows, then rows together into a quilt. πŸ’—β€οΈπŸ’— (inspired by @simplegirlsimplelife)

When standing up is too hard, you grab a bunch of pretty Liberty Lawn strips and start sewing them together. But I think it's so so pretty, just busy! I'm thinking of adding a sashing of white roses (Elizabeth A) to break it up a bit. Thoughts?

I had hoped to have inspiring January stuff to share, but the flu had other plans for me. So here's a picture of the fresh-from-the-dryer quilt I'm curled up under. Fabric is madrona road from @violetcraft and the tutorial with a slick trick to avoid sashing between hst is on my blog πŸ‘‰πŸ»http://www.acraftyfox.net/tutorial/accentuate-the-positive-a-chevron-tutorial/

16" of snow plus a brand new quilt top to mark the new year! And it's a red & white quilt to get my valentines decorations off to a fantastic start!!!

There's just something about the red rocks. If you ever get the chance, visit Sedona. This place is magical!
