Day 3.. You can't do a workout program with your hubby and not have a friendly competition. πŸ˜†

Ok, so maybe I let him know I was competing right when he started his workout -- as I yelled down..... "Bet you can't beat my 25 burpees". πŸ˜‚

Well.. I won, and that's why I'm getting the stink eye in this pic of the day. But seriously this is why I'm so happy he joined me (only took 4 years lol), he pushes me to do my best -- And I hope I'm that motivational to him as well. 😘

Anyone want to take a guess at how many more burpees I did than him? πŸ˜‰

Day 1 is in the books!
With this functional movement type workout we use agility markers. What I love is how we are encouraged to write affirmations or goals on them so they stare you in your face for daily inspiration.
These are my two affirmations I'm using for this week. πŸ‘‰πŸ» I am stronger than my excuses πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ
πŸ‘‰πŸ» I will finish πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ It's so easy to let things slide after the excitement of starting something new wears off.
Not this girl πŸ™…πŸ» I will have these staring me in the face everyday for the next 3 weeks! 😍

Got the hubby's food ready for tomorrow! πŸ‘‰πŸ» ShakeO with kefir, kale, blueberries, and banana πŸ‘‰πŸ» Apple, PB, hardboiled egg πŸ‘‰πŸ» Sausage, roasted potatoes, green beans, and cantaloupe πŸ‘‰πŸ» Celery, PB, 1/2 banana
Dinner will include 2 proteins, 2 carbs, 2 veggies!
All good things comes to those who prepare for success. If you don't intentionally take the steps to get to your goal you will never reach it. It's those small little things that are easy not to do that make the biggest impact if you do it anyways!!! ❀️

In order to lose weight I have to starve myself.. That's the most common thing I hear when people talk about trying to lose weight.
Not true!
Food is fuel, and your body needs the right foods in the right amounts in order to burn the fat!
I sat down today and mapped out what our meals are going to look like for the hubby and me as we begin a new workout program on Monday.
I love how it's laid out and so easy to follow.
I know exactly how much of each food group I need in order to see results!
And no, we won't be starving at all! ❀️ .

This new program has us both excited.. I mean look at him, doesn't he look thrilled?! πŸ˜‚

I wanted a change.
And I made a choice to not let my thyroid cancer diagnosis victimize me.
I instead chose to be the victor. πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ Does that mean that from the moment I made that choice that things got easy for me?
Absolutely not.
There were days I didn't feel like working out, like it took all my energy just to get to the gym, but I did it anyways. It's never about being perfect, it's about putting forth the effort and counting the progress as victory.
A big part of the journey is surrounding yourself with people who understand what you're going through and will be there to motivate and keep you accountable. ❀️ What fun is it to do it alone?
Who will be there to lift you up when you want to give up -- cause believe me, you will! πŸ‘­

I'm super excited to start a new workout program soon that I will be working closely with my challengers who do it with me.
So if you're ready to throw the excuses out the door.. if you're ready to dig in with nutrition.. if you're ready to commit to a daily workout for 21 days.. Let's do it together! πŸ‘­

Looking through pictures from the last couple days and I can truly say I miss these girls!
I love how different we all are.
All different backgrounds, different dreams, and different personalities but we all united over one thing.
We all want to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life ❀️ The past couple days we did just that.
We laughed, we cried, worked out at obscene hours πŸ˜†, and we screamed in panic when we heard THE FLOOR IS LAVA! πŸ˜‚

There is just nothing like being surrounded by women that support you in your dreams.
It inspires you.
It motivates you.
It keeps you going when you want to give up.
Everyone deserves that in their life! ❀️ Who is that person for you?

Unicorn blood, liquid gold.. Whatever you want to call it, it's a must when you wake up at 4am to workout! πŸ˜†

Celebrating 10 years today.
Actual anniversary date is 14th, but I'll be in Summit during that time.
In 10 years...
- 4 States - 2 kids - 2 cats and a dog - 2 deployments
- numerous trainings and schools - 4 years apart

And I would do it all over again! ❀️❀️

I don't know what your circumstances are right now, but I guarantee the only way to get out of a situation you don't want to be in, is to take a step outside your comfort zone.
That's the only way to grow!
For me, I wanted to purpose.
I wanted the struggles I went through to have meaning and a way to help others through those hard times.
Well, today I just got off a mastermind call with a leader panel where we will speak in front of 300 + people in just 2 weeks! Eek!
I'm sweating just thinking about It! 😝

But what I loved is, as I just shared with those girls, I realized how much I loved this job and started truely taking action when I realized how many people I could help that were the "Amanda of 10 years ago"
To show them that they aren't alone.
To share how this experience will make them stronger.
To surround them with a positive environment.
Ahhh.. now if I can just relay this in front of all those people. 😬

I know only good things can come from this, and I know even more people will be helped from all of us stepping outside that comfort zone! πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ .
