This was perhaps the least favourite dish of the night... the fish was slightly over cooked and thus dry, and the oil from the fish overwhelmed the rice below, rendering it rather oily and difficult to plough through.

Some good steak.

I realised I haven’t really been seeing more of this beautiful, gianormous world since I’ve returned to Hong Kong to settle down and begin a new chapter. Summer will be with me in less than a month. Can’t wait!!

Sazae was stoically crunchy, and when served with the okra, it was a delight. The kisu was especially refreshing, given how heavy handed Amano-san is with the citrus elements. The uni was served really cold, and is in line with how I like the temperature of my urchin.

JAL Sakura lounge (for business class passengers or equivalent in status). When I was in the sakura lounge for first class passengers last May, I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities (admittedly, uniquely Japanese) available, including but not limited to a massage chair! However, when moving one tier down to their business class lounge, I was shocked to find out that they didn’t even have showering facilities within the lounge! Food was not bad, including the hallmark JAL beef curry rice. But when compared to the CX business class lounges in HKIA, I was quite disappointed by JAL’s T2 lounge at Narita. Perhaps the luxury of the experience isn’t to be found in the lounge but inflight.
